This is awesome :)

There is a CYOA hidden in Your Candidate Sucks You Are LBJ [CYOA] - it is really interesting.

Vote scraper release 0.3.2
Windows 64-bit, OSX (experimental), documentation.

Changelog:
  • Tolerate close parenthesis to the right of question names
  • Tolerate leading spaces on vote lines
  • HTML documentation
Comments and suggestions are always welcome. If anyone's interested in the source code (it's Haskell), get ahold of me on IRC in #madgod

It keeps returning "No votes found" :( I'll try again and see if I'm doing it wrong somehow.

Regarding dialogue or no dialogue, I think it just comes down to whatever your writing style is and how you want to convey what's going on. PL and Enoch take place over years of game time. Updates can cover a day or months of time, so throwing in a lot of one on one conversations doesn't fit the story style.

Mutants: Uprising takes place more immediately, with updates covering small chunks of time. Also I feel weird writing "you talked to so-and-so about something" rather than just writing a couple lines of dialogue and getting to show of that other character's personality as well. It's not always necessary, so I try not to clutter the story up with a ton of conversations that could be skipped over, but if we've gone somewhere to talk to someone then we're going to see that dialogue.

I'm not sure it counts as a forums CYOA if you're just scanning pages out of a lovely book.

Mutants: Uprising = I solemnly swear I will really try hard to update at least once a week. I had a bit of an increase of things I like to call "real life responsibilities" but that's no excuse, so I'm doing my best to keep the story going. Pinky swear!

Well, looks like my thread got archived. If anyone still remembers my Mutants CYOA, is there any interest in me picking it up again and continuing on?

Started a new story/CYOA Vampires of the Caribbean

The title is pretty on the nose but I couldn't think of anything else.

I am running a "quick" Halloween one-shot type CYOA, The Wellerby Mansion, where player contestants must try to be the last one standing in a haunted house. I need 6-10 players!

Also, your character will most likely die.

Adventures in Winter: A Fairy CYOA

Set in a unique fantasy universe (the setting of my novel "Fae Child" coming December 2020) you play Treadle, a playful and slightly idiotic fairy in the elven kingdom of Winter.
