Better to be like Hisomu in that you're largely inoffensive and can serve the plot regardless than perennially annoying like Chidori or basically non-existent like Yuta or Maki.

The whole rebellion thing didn't even need to happen and it feels almost like a total after thought because they felt there needed to be some sort of dramatic peak at the end. It doesn't achieve very much at all, there are absolutely no negative consequences of it. They could have had the exact same story play out without that whole thing and reached the same destination. The final endings for the characters are decent, the episode picks up there, but the drama to begin with overstays its welcome even though it's only 10 minutes or so because it's so bad and it actively detracts from the episode.
