IMT should just draft C9's comp from game 2 since they're just going to dive everything anyway.

anti-magic posted:That explains the Irelia pick but not the Nidalee... I guess pros are really rooted in their ways. Hopefully things diversify a little more soon. Yeah, for some reason the pro meta seems strangely inflexible and gets stuck on certain champs while forgetting certain other champs exist, like how there's a week or two in every season where someone randomly remembers that Ahri is a champ that exists and has a good game or two only for her to disappear back into the ether.

I'm pretty sure Reignover just ran around in circles in that fight because NRG was on the wrong side of the map and he didn't know which way to run to overdive.

Why even go for baron there if you're C9. P1 already showed they can't close the game with baron and three inhibs down.

The prize pool was insane back in like 2012/2013 but it looks paltry as gently caress now, especially considering the scope and success of both the game and the competitive scene. What's the pro scene for DOTA 2 like outside of The International? Does Valve sponser any tournaments besides TI? Are there any leagues comparable to LCS/LCK/LPL? Cause I don't feel like Worlds to TI is a direct comparison given what (admittedly little) I know about the way the DOTA2 pro scene works.

It's not just the C9 and the Chinese teams as organizations that are being affected by the switch in residency requirements - the players are being affected by them too. Like yeah, C9s master plan of fielding all three of Impact/Rush/Jensen is foiled now, but that's also screwing over Impact, who certainly had other offers and probably took up C9s offer at least partly on the idea of the roster they could field next split. I'm sure there are some Koreans in China who thought they could ride out a split getting paid tons of money on the bench and be part of a super team next split that are now having to rethink their contract because Riot changed the rules on them.

He does pretty good in tri casts and they should probably just use him only in those, although honestly that's true of every caster that isn't Doa.

C9 needs to let Meteos handle the bottom lane because Jhin and Bard can punish the baron attempt from outside of engage range. Edit: and C9 loses because they stop taking advantage of their two champs that can do things from 3 screens away.

I don't feel like either team won this draft - it's just a question of who lost it. On one hand you've got Jinx being played into Gragas, but on the other hand you have a three AD poke comp into a Braum.
