Sintax posted:The Creator's Club announcement said that achievements will be enabled only if you use paid mods haha Really? 'cause there's a mod on the Nexus that allows one to get achievements while mods are on.

Gonkish posted:Yeah, but his point is that the reason that doesn't exist is because mod authors have gotten really loving petty and freak out if anyone tries to do that. Eh, I think they have a point. The people who get off their rear end and learn how to make the mods do it for little more than Internet Fame Points and they won't even get that if it's largely-anonymously chucked in a pack that you can blindly install. If they can't get their name out, then it'd be unlikely that they'd get a paid gig with the Creation Club, even if it is only a single job.

I don't think Preston even has anything to say if you bring him with you to Quincy or when you fight the actual guy who betrayed Preston's old group.

I was watching, for a short while, a Twitch streamer play survival and he had a fairly minimal list of mods: These improve the interface and the 'general ambience' (Make night actually dark but makes the Pip-Boy light useful, make sounds better balanced, etc)code:

chaosapiant posted:Are all the known Creation Club/Paid Mods designed to work together if needed, or are there known conflicts between any of them? A number of them don't work with themselves let alone eachother, but, yeah, there aren't any 'conflicts', per se, they're just kind of lovely - although one or two of the player homes may tickle your fancy, the Elianora ones are usually pretty nice to look at. There's usually a "fix" mod you can get from either Bethesda's incorporated mod system or from Nexus - the junk shotgun may still need a mix for the three-barreled's sight, etc.

Fallout 4 largely refuses to stay open for longer than a few seconds before crashing to desktop due to the video card bugs that they haven't yet fixed. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Repeatedly starting a new run with different mods in the desperate hope of it making the game good, an ouroborus of expectation and defeat.
