Just brought light to Kakariko Village in TP (Wii). Playing this after Skyward Sword is an experience, though not a great one. SS, I think, perfects the issues I'm having with TP.

Playing that boss in Skyward Sword 3x sucked. I just finished learning a sumo wrestling mechanic in Twilight Princess and it is poo poo. Jousting that guy on that bridge? Also poo poo mechanics.

I will never get all the heart pieces on a playthrough, not even close. I won't do most of the other things (TP has fishing, possibly bug catching? - the point is I haven't done it) either. I will get everything in dungeons though. But for instance I did not explore Hyrule Fields at all as I traveled from Faron Woods to Kakariko Village. In this sense, I prefer the (lack of) overworld in Skyward Sword even though, yes, the overworld is often a (some say The) draw for Zelda games. Also, I like the art style of Twilight Princess and even some of its cinematic interludes (though they should be skippable). The Lakebed Temple boss in Twilight Princess is hands down the easiest Zelda boss ever. And now they want me to collect ghosts!? loving bugs, fish, and scrolls wasn't enough – loving ghosts now?? gently caress that, gently caress 100%.

Is this the catch-all Zelda thread? I can't find another. Anyway, Oracle of Ages is, like, super hard or I'm super stupid or both. I got my rear end handed to me repeatedly in the second dungeon (Wing Dungeon). Maybe it's because I just played and beat A Link Between Two Worlds without any help, but good lord, I will likely have to consult a FAQ soon.

I preordered the Wii U version and am excited to play it. I just have to get through the last seven temples of Twilight Princess (Wii) or... leave Twilight Princess unfinished as I tear into Breath of the Wild.

How many Zelda games have you 100% beaten ("New Game Pluses" do not count: you can say 200% if you've beaten a game and its New Game Plus and collected everything each time)? I've 100% beaten A Link Between Worlds. That's it. I just beat Snowpeak Ruin (Twilight Princess - Wii) and realized I'll never 100% most Zelda games. I'm not collecting all these drat Poes or bugs. Minish Cap's God awful statue collecting mechanic is way worse than the Kinstone fusion sidequest. But both suck. The Oracle games have that insane ring collection spanning four (?) complete playthroughs. You people... did these things???

Twilight Princess (Wii) - I'm attempting to locate all the hidden skills but there isn't a single howling stone I haven't examined, yet none make noise for me to listen to. I'm missing the last hidden skill. I'm about to go to the City in the Sky. What gives?

I'm missing the Great Spin Attack but I did the howling stone in the hidden village. I thought I missed the stone in Death Mountain but it isn't making noise for me to listen to. I've since checked them all. Maybe I'll go back to the village, but 100% without question I did that stone.

I got that one. Because I missed a stone somewhere (apparently), that wolf did not give me the Great Spin Attack, but an earlier move. I'm not at home, but now I'm thinking I might have activated all the stones and forgotten a wolf somewhere. I mean, that's the only thing that makes sense because I definitely approached every stone yesterday.
