Shiokaze soars across the sky in a dramatic burst of speed, touching down on the raised ground to the West! Jun and Manami hop off once close and move: Manami dropping down from the edge of the platform and Jun moving along it, moving West as he does so until the difference from ground to platform removes him from sight.

: "Sorry about this.." Shiokaze uses her remaining actions to flick out a pair of unstrung red beads that land on the ground somewhere a bit more West than not. They're hard to see on the glass-like material! She then swings her khakkhara around overhead in a tornado spin between both hands, summoning torrent of wind that roars down the center of the hall, Slowing Enemies and Speeding Up Allies!

: "You've gotta deal with three giants now, assholes!" Manami pumps her nailbat and an overwhelming aura of malice erupts around her, a silhouette of billowing black smoke! She pops up before Noriko with surprising speed and her entire body practically is drawn up with the ferocity and strength of an overhead draw! She goes for the big smash, her weapon erupting in flame on impact! Granfaloon's essence manifests to offer protection versus the killing blow but the flames wither and scourge his innumerable corpses limbs even without full impact! Manami grins, lit up by the flames of her now ignited bat, the lingering blow dealing 21 Fire Damage(43 after +40% Fire, then Halved.) Just when you think she might be getting ready to trade some more crude words her aura rises up and unfurls into a snake-haired woman, the spectacle distracting from the unfurling occurring at the same time under her feet as a massive barbed tail lashes out at Noriko's midsection! The blow is evaded but now Manami feels content to sneer! "Hold still, goth bitch!" In the wakes of the flame her features grow slightly more intense.. or is it the flames scorching Granfaloon?!

: No chat from Jun. He's hidden!(Stealth 44.) Instead a single bolt punches through Itsumi's leg from behind! It pierces a vital part of her circulatory system for 41 Physical Damage! But what follows next is a blazing white-blue plume of fox fire, the lightning-fast torrent Critically smashing into Itsumi dead on and enveloping her! This deals 46 Cold/Necrotic Damage directly!

: Shio grabs both sides of her head and grits her teeth, clearly alarmed!

: Miho draws up her hammer and dashes into the wind, looking positively steamed! "TSUKI-CHAN! I'M COMING!" She raises her hammer and invokes a primal representation of her psyche! ... A haggard-looking little red-capped Brownie steps out of her shadow, fixing Yuzuki with a right proper glare! He wiggles his fingers and gibbers under his breath before hexing her with Sukunda! Then Miho raises her hammer, letting it slide to a one-handed grip, holding it halfway up the shaft and turned sideways to the heavens! "LIGHTNIIIIING!" A mid-sized bolt answers her call and rips harmlessly across Yuzuki and zaps Kyoutaro for 18 Lightning Damage!(+2 for Targets.)

: Kyoutaro belches up a small plume of smoke and grins. "Is that all.. ?" He hangs his head, chuckling even as debris falls from his shoulders.

: "No! I feel it.. grrr.." Even as Takashi's blow draws blood, Yuzuki has the gall to glare at Miho instead. "Onmyodo!" Her feet are caked in mud and her posture is hunched over, her eyes whited out from Itsumi's flash.

: Panting with excitement, Miho hugs her hammer to her chest and closes her eyes. "D.. DO YOUR BEST, EVERYONE!" Yuzuki and Kyoutaro's defenses are heavily debuffed, an effect not diluted by Indomitable!

Tsukiyo - Hallway

As Itsumi's healing energy start to well inside her, Tsukiyo's right hand crackles with sheer power! Slashing through the fabric of space itself, she cuts down a large hole below Kyoutarou which manages to swallow the red Oni whole before dropping him a few feet away and leaving him surrounded by Akio, Takashi and Noriko. "Hey, blue bitch! Eyes off her!" She yells towards Yuzuki before carefully shifting forward towards her, grievously stabbing her in the back and piercing her body with her twin blades!

Minor: Using Hunter's Quarry on Kyoutarou.
Fate: Be Gone vs AC: 1d20+31 32 2d10+1d6+14+2d6+5+2 49, teleporting him to F-10, it drops him prone as well (in b4 indomitable)
Move:Using Invigorating Stride, shifting to E15.

"Thanks, Tsukiyo!" Akio spins around as Kyoutaro is teleported to his other side and smirks back at him. "We're only just getting started, Big Mac. Let's dance!" He slashes at the ogre, but Kyoutaro manages to catch his blade with the chain of his kusarigama in the nick of time! But instead of having the smirk wiped off his face, the corners of Akio's mouth only curl up further. Wrapped in chains, Gram starts to glow blue, and suddenly phases straight through the chains and cuts into Kyoutaro's chest! As the blade parts skin and flesh, so does it cut through space around the two combatants, and they're both teleported past the pillar to the south-west.

Appearing behind Manami as she calls Noriko something she shouldn't have, Akio fixes her with a powerful scowl. "Enough of that." He starts channeling magic and a bright charge of arcane energy takes form in his free hand. "It's about time you and your boyfriend stopped hiding behind your pet Onis." He lifts his hand and then clenches it tight into a fist, releasing the charge. With a thunderous roar, a torrent of sonic energy is released in a huge radius around him! The waves of energy, sharpened to a razor's edge by Gram's mythological power, cuts bleeding gashes in man and youkai alike as they're buffeted around. "I've got your scent now, Jun! You won't escape!" Akio yells as his mark snaps in place on the rogue, who found himself caught in the storm.

Stepping back into the shadows, she emerges near Miho, firing a beam into Yuzuki and teleporting her into the group. A moment later, Noriko makes a wide gesture with her hands, drawing out a wide magic circle around the group, before bringing up a clenched fist. Shadowy appendages tear through fate, targeting the entire enemy group, a persistent gloom only adding to the confusing frenzy of grasping limbs...

Akio: In response to being targeted by an area effect Jun uses Clever Move and Shifts into different cover. The hasty need to relocate disrupts his previous excellent camouflage(Stealth 29.) Jun is barely visible to Tsukiyo due to her extreme distance relative to the raised ground!

Shiokaze fails her ledge grab save but ends up flapping her wings and hovering five feet over the ground. She brings up her hand and makes a V and flicks it down the length of her nose, sticking out her tongue at Akio.

Noriko: After zapping Noriko for 51 Damage with Weakness you attempt to displace her. It initially succeeds.. but she reappears early in a stomp at I10. Jun is also not in the burst, meaning that these two are not subject to ghastly grabbers. Shiokaze, Manami and Kyoutaro are, although Kyoutaro will not be as Dazed as the others(OAs disabled.) Manami weathers the assault better than the others, revealing Necrotic Resist 10!

: Without Tsukiyo in her grasp Yuzuki's Wind-Up falters! Under repeated assault she Bloodies! She throws her head up and roars with a room-shaking intensity! If Man is descended from Ape than this giant is matching the primordial fury of a primal primate spirit, fangs in perfect imitation of a feral ape. Skin crackling and eyes and mouth aglow in blue light Yuzuki goes Berserk and erupts with frenzied waves of lightning, gaining Aura 2: Inflict 5d8 Lightning Damage to Enemies at Start of Turn and Crackling Steps! She also sheds her current Movement Speed debuffs, returning to Speed 8 with Akio's Mark still up!

Lightning arcs off Yuzuki and blasts Takashi for 27 Lightning Damage! She follows this up by stomping over to him and lunges forward, claws out! She slams them into his sides simultaneously and flexes for the follow-up in a brutal rending, dealing 68 Physical Damage + 16 Lightning Damage! The effect of both claws ripping apart their target also applies Ongoing 24 Physical and Blue Mark, a Mark with a -4 Penalty to not Attacking Yuzuki, -15 Lightning Resistance and Takashi takes 12 Lightning Damage the first time per Round he does not include Yuzuki in an Attack.

There's no comment for the goring. Yuzuki pants heavily, steam rising from her face. Yuzuki Saves vs Ongoing Force! Then she drops to a squat, the ionization in the air growing to a spine-tingling intensity all around her!

But Akio is able to evade this burly giant's attack! "Bah!" He draws the chains around one arm and pumps it upwards, bringing the twirling instruments to a halt! They dangle from the arm as he drops it and brings his other hand around, drawing deeply from his sake bowl. He thrusts himself forward and purses his lips in a perfect spit, unleashing a high intensity flamethrower blast upon Akio! This too is evaded! Although evading such a potent discharge of free spreading heat is a bit easier said than done as far as convection goes! This deals a Halved 21 Fire Damage to Akio and ignites him for Ongoing 24 Fire Damage(Save Ends!) Kyoutaro's Red Mark and Resistance Reduction make great use of his budding pyromania!

Kyoutaro faces Akio head on, gritting his teeth and tilting his head downwards. His gaze is so straightforward that he might as well be looking clear through Akio. He does not Save against Gram.

Absorbing the heat from the fire with his wards, he grins back at the red Oni. "You're her brother, why don't you help her work out her aggressions!" He performs a hand gesture at Yuzuki at the exact moment she lunges for Takashi, blinking her over behind Kyoutaro and making him suffer the attacks instead!

Via arcana shenanigans Akio invites Yuzuki to drive her claws into Kyoutaro's side! Both claws landing also inflicts Ongoing 24 Physical to Kyoutaro.

: "Sniveling wizard! ARRRGHHHH!" Kyoutaro roars in pain and turns around! "EMPTY-HEADED FOOL!"

: Yuzuki unleashes a deafeaning roar as a retort.



The two face each other down for a moment before they both surge with power and collide! The entire room begins to rumble as they repeatedly fight for footing and positioning in various combative grapples, the two gripping or punching one another in a rapid-fire display! In the blink of an eye they crash together one last time before their natural energy mingle and erupt in a towering cyclone of fire and lightning, the rooms shaking building to a powerful quake!

Elemental Destruction is unleashed in an explosive blast as the Onis deal 50 Fire/Lightning Damage to each other, Akio and Manami! Due to Resistances Manami only takes 40 Damage but her and Akio are sent flying with a Push 5 and Prone! Manami lands at C1 and Akio is sent straight into a wall, painfully colliding for 5 Physical Damage before he too is sprawled out at I2. The two Oni are still standing face to face as the elements fade away.. but everything around them has been blasted and scorched and is left molten or charged!

They laugh and turn to new facings, their previous intentions still set. Yuzuki is still hunched over and heaving, flexing her fists, the very image of rage. Kyoutaro looks very sour himself, his jaw clenched and teeth grinding.

One of the beads that Shiokaze cast into the arena is lost amidst the Elemental Destruction, overpowered and destroyed entirely.


Fire and Lightning: Fire Tiles deal 12 Fire Damage per tile, Lightning Tiles Damage deal 12 Lightning per tile. Crossing a tile extinguishes it after the Damage is taken.

Feeling suddenly protected by an arcane energy, Takashi watches the Oni crash into each other with titanic force. He moves to clear the oppressive wind, lining up a charge against the somewhat helpless sukeban. As he moves, continuing to drag a wake of broken tiles underneath Teeth, the spirit of attak bursts into vivid life beside him, infusing him with chilling warmth and raw, heated purpose. The weapon becomes lighter than air, rising on a sudden sirocco that follows the pair; Takashi hefts the weapon above his head and slams it down with all his might, empowered by his inner pup. A forceful hand of a stately older man in heavy Roman armor comes to rest atop the stone counterweight, effortlessly pushing the weapon deeper, as his ghostly form towers over Takashi.

A shockwave of ruptured earth, heated air and unbridled will launch Manami into the air! Before she can ascend far a bolt of brilliant blue agony screams from the ceiling above, lancing through her and flailing her limits like paper in a breeze before continuing down through the bar of metal in the boy's hands. The same breeze stirs the omamori charms along the haft, a keening whistle of warning rising around him.

Takashi: Bouncing her off a stone wall before the alley-oop you gloriously slam Manami down into an inglorious unconscious heap! There's no room for her bitter venom in a sudden blackout.

You feel a terrible sort of premonition, like a storm is coming. It might have something to do with the choked growls coming from the South.

Itsumi: Yuzuki and Kyoutaro resist the full strength of the pull, only being drawn 3 Squares in total! You enrapture the yokai and cast them through the elemental hazards on the ground, mopping them up with opposing Oni! This reveals Shiokaze's familiar elemental protections(Fire Resist 5) but otherwise deals 35 Fire Damage to Shiokaze, 72 Fire Damage to Yuzuki and 84 Lightning Damage to Kyoutaro!

: Shiokaze comes out of a rising wave motion, her dance involving casting her arms up and then letting them drop back down as her feet excitedly stomp in rapid sequence. She pops up with a strained grin. "It's fine, Icchan! I'm a lot stronger than you think! And.. if we both want different things.. we have to fight!" As a Minor Shiokaze unleashes a pulse of pure ethereal energy that curls with the building wind around her, granting herself an empowered save!

(Natural 1!) But it's a complete dud! Her eyes roll briefly cross-eyed for a moment and she ends up dancing in place, lazily cheering. "Eeeehh-yaaayy!" As she dances and revels her bead explodes harmlessly, nobody in the radius. This batch seems less potent than the beads Takashi is carrying, leaving behind no raging bonfire.

: "This won't go the way you want it to..." Jun lets his sleeve cover his hand and effortlessly palms his crossbow, switching it out for his dagger. Then with a crackling surge of red static briefly silhouetting his entire body he produces a second in the other hand. Shikome's diligent tracking of monster status reflects an unfamiliar new passive, an Ancient Stance. As the only member of Team Chaos not stuck in the midst of dancing, raging chaos, Jun coolly dashes to the South with his eyes on Itsumi.

Fortune: Activate Daily Stance.
Move: Move to M0.
Fate: Jun flicks out his left-hand blade and it explodes in a flash of arcane light and red static as a Blinding Blade, striking Itsumi for a Halved 10 Physical Damage and giving her -2 Attack UEOMNT(Jun.)
Standard: He follows up with a spin and a high kick in a Stunning Strike, dealing 16 Physical Damage and Dazing Itsumi UEOMNT(Jun)!

(Small OOC note: I've tried to hold a standard in the game that enemies won't use Stun/Dominate without warning or wind up, so I've downgraded an Encounter Jun has access to to a Daze Power instead of a Stun Power.)

Action Point: Jun gains a Move Action as per his Paragon Path.
Standard: Surging with his dark, mysterious energies, as per usual, Jun assumes an odd dual-wielding stance and mumbles. ".. sorry about this.." Then he steps forward and unleashes an unnatural frenzy of blinding attacks in an unknown form! Two slashes to the elbow! Two slashes to the neck! And a practiced drop and thrust and withdraw to nick the back of the ankles! (AC 39 becomes 37 with CA, three hits.) Not every slash finds it way past the armor but half do, red lines of erupting blood showcasing painful wounds that Itsumi suffers! She takes 31, then 28, then 32 Physical Damage, her body losing the power to support itself before blood loss shock catches in and she is knocked Unconscious at -23 HP!
Move: Jun looks down at Itsumi in clear hesitation. He steadies his hands and withdraws, moving down the Southern stairs but something is off(Stealth 26.) He bumps into the railing and moves without grace, his position obvious to all.

: "HEY! HEEEEY! JUN! NO! NO! NO!" Shiokaze's voice is tight and high with anxiety!

: Seeing Manami bounced off a wall and slam-dunked makes Miho frown. Seeing Itsumi fall in a shower of her own blood makes her turn stark white in the face. "This.. this isn't fun anymore.. you.. you guys!" Her voice cracks. "Do something!" She raises her hammer before throwing it full strength at Kyoutaro, cracking his skull to a seemingly mundane and harmless effect. The brand of peaceful kanji left on his forehead afflicts Kyoutaro with Visions of Paradise, leaving him unable to Attack(Save Ends)... however, every time Kyoutaro is Attacked he will get a new Save vs the effect! Miho tries to run through the wind towards Itsumi but is predictably slowed, ending up clutching her arms as her hammer drifts back to her in a steady bounce along the wind.

: "Hrrnngg.. little one.. hurts.. ... why am I.. so angry?" The red giant settles on a contemplative look, taking the question very seriously. His feet continue to bob up and down.

"Icchan! Jun, you bastard, when I get my hands on you..." Horrified at how her friend has been knocked out, Tsukiyo shakes her head, concentrating her rage. Her Persona materializes as an yellow energy aura covering her swords, and with a blink the samurai girl disappears only to rematerialize in front of Yuzuki and Shiokaze, a swirling tornado of wild winds sending the flames away from her. With a single wave of her hand, the winds send the addled red oni into the crackling electrified ground, frying him while keeping Kyoutarou on dreamland.


Sheathing her swords, Tsukiyo looks at Yuzuki with a ferocious glint on her eye. "Payback time, you rampaging beast! Time to shear and slash!" Using Yuzuki's massive size against her, the ranger leaps above and with a flash slashes the blue oni's protective furs with an upward attack exposing her before bringing down the swords in a x-shaped attack. Upon landing, however, the crackling electricity on the floor is drawn towards Tsuki's rapier, and she drives it to the ground between Yuzuki and Shiokaze, blasting them forwards with a resounding thunderclap!

Tsukiyo: (One damage roll for AoEs. It isn't possible to start by pushing Shiokaze South as this does not Push her away from you. Pushed to I4 to hit fire tile and stay within Grave Grasp.)

Interrupt: Slashed repeatedly down the front, Yuzuki coughs up a cloud of blood as her wounds seem to finally be sticking, stumbling back a step or two! She retains her footing and clenches her jaw, limbs twitching! Then she succumbs, her knees buckling as she drops with a room-shaking impact, and again, falling forward!

Appearing in Crowley's space in an explosion of feathers, Noriko looks up to the platform and grits her teeth. Looking down at the dagger in her hand, her expression hardens to cool resolve; drawing the dagger across the space in front of her, she steps out in M0. Kneeling down, she heistates for a moment. "h-hey... i'm going to get you up... i... um... this is really gross, but please borrow some of my power, okay...?" pausing for a moment, she looks down at her hands, her mind flashes back to what she'd done to Ichiro. "...heh. what goes around comes around, eh? i̶ th͡in͘k i̡'͜m̶ ̶beg̡įnn͏i̸ng̢ ͢to u͏nd͘eŗst̕a͡nd́..." drawing the knife across her palm, she drips her blood onto Itsumi's lips, each droplet turning into a mote of shadow and drawing itself into Itsumi's body, sharing a fraction of Nyarlathotep's power, briefly, at the cost of Noriko's life essence. As Itsumi stirs, she turns towards the stairwell for a moment.

She glares down the stairwell towards where Jun had slinked off to, considering going after him for a moment, but stopping herself. "...no. this has to end." she turns towards the Ogres, towards Shio, and raises her voice, something commanding resonating in her voice when she speaks. "That's ENOUGH OF THIS! You don't have my permission to die for this coward, Yuzuki! You think this idiot can offer you the world you want?! This coward who skulks around in the shadows when his friends are being beaten senseless? An honorless dog who singles out loners from the shadows, long after the fight is already lost?! THE KIND OF MAN WHO TRIPS DOWN A BALCONY TO RUN FROM A FIGHT?!!" she points down at her. "I don't care what you do with your life after this! BUT RIGHT NOW, YOU DON'T HAVE MY PERMISSION TO DIE! SO KNEEL!!! GIVE UP AND LET THIS LOSER FACE HIS DEFEAT!"

Akio blinks, his vision returning to him after briefly blacking out from the powerful explosion that had blown him away without warning. He found himself flat on the floor and his ears were ringing, but even so he could hear Noriko's words clearly. Looking up, he sees Yuzuki's battered state, and he understood what she was going for. He stands back up and shakes off the effects of the explosion, affecting a proud and regal stance, and fixes Yuzuki with an unwavering stare.

"Heed her words, Oni!" He speaks with authority, drawing on fate to bolster the weight behind their words. "You have no choice in the matter. You have been bested in combat, and you WILL accept your defeat with honor! Swear fealty to us now, like the oaths your kind once swore in the past, I demand it! If you dishonor yourself by denying our strength any further you will suffer the full extent of our wrath!"

Move: Stand from prone.
Fate: Compact of Peace: Akio, Noriko, Itsumi and Tsukiyo gain +5 to Diplomacy and Insight checks UEOMNT. The effect ends if any of us makes an attack.

: "Naarrgghhh! RARRRRGHHRNRNNN!!" Yuzuki pounds the ground with her right hand repeatedly, sending small tremors throughout the room and discharging lightning at random. Her voltage and the glow in her eyes dims slightly and she pushes herself up enough to kneel, glaring over her shoulder. "Tiny witch.. chh.." She spits blood to the side. "Stinking of death and lecturing others of morals? How Human." She rotates with movements along palms and knees, repositioning to face the West on both knees and with fists set flat to the ground. "I YIELD!" She bows deeply, setting her horns to the ground!

(Yuzuki is still targetable but will ignore any non-direct attacks, i.e. untargeted AoEs and ground effects. She also obstructs movement like an Enemy still.)

"Good." Akio nods at Yuzuki, satisfied that she's being sincere. "We accept your surrender." Sensing Jun's presence nearby, he begins to move. He heads south along the wall, then takes a right and sprints a few steps up the staircase only to leap over the railing when the stairs start to turn, landing right next to his target.

"Hamada Jun," he says. "Always so busy coming up with the clever thing to do that he never stops to think whether he really should." He makes a gesture at him, replacing his temporary mark with something longer lasting. "You took a knife to my healer, your classmate, and you brutally stabbed her." Ouroboros appears and batters the Jun into the wall, then sprays him and the area around Akio with burning acid. "I hope you're proud."

Feeling Kyoutaro's fire begin eating its way through his wards on his right arm, Akio tries to put it out without taking his attention off of Jun, but doesn't quite manage to quell the flames.

: "You think I don't know that?!" Jun yells in response to Itsumi and shortly before Takashi joins the two-melee pin on his position, smashing him from above. He staggers and losers his footing, a handful of debris scattering across the ground as his mask is destroyed.

Minor: Acrobat Boots to stand from Prone.

: "Yaahh!" Rising in a painful daze he viciously rakes out to either side with his daggers, intensity demanding side or back steps to evade. He grits his teeth and stares Akio and Takashi down in turn. "Even if I'm not as strong as you.. I've done what I could! I've found stronger allies, made smarter moves! Tactics, information, caution! You think you can win this game playing by ear?! Even if.." He catches his breath and his arms and shoulders rise and fall with the panting. "Even if.. my rage.. is wrong.. I'd still deny them that wish. I'll not use it. I'll wish for a hundred yen coin. Me.. Yuzuki, Kyoutaro, Shiokaze.. Manami.. all of us.. we were.. we will.. upset their plans.." He raises both blades and flinches in pain, forcing his hands to steady. "Like Takeo did."

Standard: Jun is utterly cornered. His eyes burn with good old-fashioned defiance, not the red static. He defies all sense and reason and Moves South, not even attempting a Shift! As this suicidal ploy plays out and it seems that the time has come to put this mad fox down there's only the moment of swing and impact to realize that something is wrong! Jun draws Akio and Takashi into a Bloody Path, evading Akio's textbook perfect manifestation of sword and force and wrenching the extended arm down at the elbow with his full body weight for 22 Physical + 4 Thunder! When Takashi's sweeping gouge from the crescent of Teeth comes Jun performs a mid-air twirl to evade, roll and come up beside Takashi's legs. He delivers a strike to the back of the knee and forces a stumble from the mighty brawler, enough for Jun to rise and shove Takashi with all his body strength into his own weapon's head when Takashi uses the stone base for support. Teeth crackles for 29 Lightning Damage against its own master.

Laughing with a hint of hysteria, Jun backs away and raises his knives again, an eye twitching as he tries to rally himself for a follow through on this impossibly chaotic opportunity. He ends up standing his ground and waiting, the ethereal flames of his Persona rising around him, but conscious hesitation keeping the fox fire from erupting.

Minor: Shiokaze rights herself in mid-air and gestures angrily at Tsukiyo, calling upon a sudden gust of wind from directly behind her! The tailwinds fail to push Tsukiyo, who is sufficiently able to react and steel herself against the surprise momentum.
Move: Attempting to change position or move Shiokaze ends up scowling mightily as necrotic energy pulses through her lower legs and the full length of her wings. "You..!"
Standard: Spinning khakkhara overhead she draws out angry energy from the sky and blasts Tsukiyo with a descending bolt of thin, crooked lightning! Tsukiyo is zapped thoroughly to the point that her jolting skeleton is visible for a split second, suffering 27 Lightning Damage! Shio grins stupidly and lets out a loud "Heh heh!"

Miho keeps doggedly moving to the West, arm raised to shield against the wind. She raises her hammer and intones a prayer for fury but it falls short against Jun! (Mantle of the Infidel Miss.)

Yuzuki remains bowed and silent.

Flames erupt from Kyoutaro but none are in range to feel their heat. Kyoutaro clears his Ongoing Damage 12 and Ongoing Damage 24 and remains Pacified. Berserk clears Immobilized. He Moves 2 to H8, glaring down contemplatively at Tsukiyo, restrained fury glowing blood red through the whole of his eyes.

Shiokaze clears Immobilize but not Ongoing Damage.

"Smarter moves?" Tsukiyo scoffs. "You tried to mess with us, Jun. That's as stupid a move as you can do, and your 'stronger allies'? They aren't working with you anymore." She turns towards the Red Oni, and the massive wargod persona once again manifests itself, stabbing down with a gigantic spear that crashes upon Kyoutarou like a meteor! She then immediately stabs him twice with her swords at the Oni's thighs, her rapier exploding in a burst of mystical energy that drops her opponent to his knees before she stabs him again, this time in the torso.

"You will submit as well." With a flick of her wrist, a gale of wind pushes Kyoutarou against the electrical floor, zapping him!

Guardian's Chamber

Muscles clenching from an arc of electric feedback off his own weapon, Takashi's grip tightens painfully around the wrought metal spear. A trickle of blood is visible beneath his fingers as the weapon ascends skyward, "You still don't understand, Hamada," an acrid ozone bite fills his mouth as the omamori prayers begin to rise as if buoyed. Static pops leap off his shorts, across the metal implements in all their hands. A small chill surrounds them, a desperate need for heat.

His next words reach into Jun's mind, heard as much as felt, thanks to the empowered nature of his gifts, **"No matter how big a bully you become,"** a sizzling band of blue light connects Takashi to the twisted spike in his hands, to Hamada Jun, to the ground beneath their feet and the distant nega-sky of Akane's realm, **"People like me will be there to stop you from hurting others,"** the last syllable looses the strike, a downward plunge of the blade and the fulminating bolt that connected them. A silhouette of the flaming mutt lends its might, turning the chill into broiling heat. In an instant the space between the two boys dissolves, Takashi drawing close to lend his strength to the follow-through of blow, lest Jun slip away again. Pulling his punch at the last moment... against his best judgment... the blow merely gouges Jun's shoulder before transferring the thundering stormcrash into him, instead of piercing his heart.

From a handful of centimeters above his prey, Takashi lets out a pained sigh, "Consider this a mercy. We aren't killers. And neither are the Hattoris, no matter what you believe."

Akio \\ Ambrose <the Black Blade> // Sunday, May 31 - Other Shore / Guardian Chamber

Out of a burst of silver rose petals covered in frost, Akio teleports up to Kyoutaro with Gram at the ready. He makes a thrusting attack with the blade and successfully finds his way past the Oni's guard, striking him in the chest. Placing his off-hand on the pommel, Akio grits his teeth as he drives the blade further into Kyoutaro's chest, embedding it all the way up to the hilt. He lets go of the sword and leaves it where it is, then shifts into a karate stance and follows up with a powerful back kick that explodes with arcane force as it connects with Kyoutaro's abdomen, sending the massive foe tumbling onto his back! "Ouroboros!" Akio calls out without hesitation, and the great serpent eating its own tail appears above him in profile. "Lay waste!" Ouroboros glares at Kyoutaro out of the one eye facing him and calls down a bright pillar of divine light which strikes him with almighty power, leaving him smoldering on the glass floor!

Akio walks up to Kyoutaro and looks down at him, his eyes still glowing blue with cold rage, his sword-arm still burning with a fire that doesn't seem to bother him. "Looks like the magi bested you after all." With a simple gesture Gram is called back to his hand, and he points it at the Oni's neck with a smirk. "Unlike Jun, we're proof that man hasn't squandered Prometheus' gift just yet." He removes the blade and sticks it in its sheath. "Admit defeat and swear fealty."

Jun falls with Takashi's final blow, knocked unconscious. Just as Kyoutaro finally obliges the chamber with an ear-straining primordial roar Akio teleports into his range and delivers a stab and kick! Kyoutaro's massive weight is given irrevocable momentum and he topples backwards, the ground trembling as he lands in a full sprawl, eyes blanking out into swirling spots of magma.

: When Noriko strikes and comes up short, Shiokaze recoils fully and her eyes shoot open! "A w-warning shot! She's serious!"

: Shifting for a momentum before sitting up automatically, Kyoutaro's mass approaching without hesitation disrupts Akio's balance and neatly bumps him aside, the red giant scratching idly at his rapidly sealing chest wounds. He regards the situation for a moment with a contemplative frown before rising enough to change the positioning of his legs, settling for a kneel. He sweeps a large arm to his chest and affects a deep western bow. "I've been beaten, it seems."

With a quick motion on his phone, Takashi retrieves his former spear from inventory, using both hands to drive it deeply into the floor beside Jun. His stake driven, he kneels down beside the other boy and easily props him. None too gently taking Hamada's arms, he places them behind the unconscious boy's back and against the spear. With another motion on his phone the spirit of attak coalesces into existence with a rope in his maw. In a matter of quick loops and knots, Takashi binds Hamada Jun sitting against the cold metal implement of war. Staying in a kneel where he is, Takashi clamps his hand on the boy's shoulder, a reminder, a warning and a promise of danger.

: Manami eventually comes to, groaning and rubbing her head with both hands. She starts to get up and spots Tsukiyo, then growls like a feral dog and starts to tense up.

: Breaking her submissive stance Yuzuki has come over to sit on her knees beside Manami and pats her on the back, the gesture immediately relieving some of Manami's rapid tension.

: Smirking and strutting among your group Kyoutaro makes it clear he's eyeing and sizing up each of you, boys and girls, and hums to himself in thought about what it could mean or why. Then he cups his chin and smoothly crashes in: "I wonder which of you wants my boon, hmm? Your children will be strong, powerful.."

: Shiokaze wrings both hands along her shaft, tucking her wings in and walking along the chamber. "I got stronger, but you're more than twice as far ahead."

: When Jun comes to he tilts his head enough to take things in and settles for a long sigh.

To lose his brother and to run afoul of your group! Hah! You have a great deal of power for Humans."

I used to think you were just grieving, but now I just think you're an angry little boy who kicks sand at the other kids because you like feeling tough" Takashi shifts his weight a bit, but does not change the configuration of his vigil over Jun, "What would Takeo say to see you become this bully. You think he's smiling from the afterlife at the decisions you're making?"

"Maybe you feel like you don't owe him anything. But at some point you're going to have to admit - to yourself, if not others - that your choices don't make you the hero of this story. And if you want to change that - if you care, at all, about finding your brother's killer - that you should be looking for allies instead of making enemies." A quintet of molten corgis burst to life in a circle around the two boys. Instead of growling or trying to posture intimidatingly, they just settle into a relaxed sit, their tongues lolling from the immense heat surrounding them. Takashi is quiet for a second before continuing.

"Whether you like it or not, whether you like us or not, we're only enemies because you insist on it. You want to see the world made fair? Then help us change it."

"When we got back there.. something was wrong. Things were missing. The window was very deliberate. Couldn't be missed. But most people wouldn't notice the meddling with the console drive." Jun's arm twitches as he reflexively goes to adjust his glasses after they've slid ever so slightly. He can't complete the motion and looks pointedly to Takashi to help him out. "There wasn't the possibility of an accident any more. I took some things to cover my own trail and began thinking. And soon Shio said she knew some muscle. ... I guess you know the rest." Jun sighs. "But we've proven tonight that in the end Ailuridae would triumph."

"All that's left to me is finding that killer."

: A scowl starts to bloom on Manami's face as she sits up and glares at Yuzuki, but Miho interrupts. "Uhm.. miss Oni, what do you mean?" Miho laughs a little.

: "Jun told me a bit about how your electric games and data work. This wish granting Game is the same way. Only a victory is acknowledged." She extends a finger, easily crossing the distance between Manami and Tsukiyo and waggles it at Tsukiyo's face. "Honor is for ceremony. You are at war. Only kids complain about fairness when the stakes are so high. Takeo's killer has shown you what the stakes are. Do you really expect fair treatment?" She withdraws her hands and laughs. "If it bothers you, be stronger than the ambush predator, or faster, more observant! Even a bird is smarter than you!" The blue giant guffaws at her own with while Shiokaze bristles a little.

: "Well.." She folds her arms and looks away. "That's all I'm sorry for. And.. I was gonna beat up Kyoutaro if he tried to carry you off. But that's IT!" She stays turned away, face scrunched up in a grimace. "Maybe YOU could apologize to ME first!"

Miho goes to object before stopping, doubt causing her to hesitate and sit back down.

: Shinome whispers over your Soulshell. "Maybe these oaths you compelled are a good chance to teach those giants some boundaries." Her tone sounds indignant by the end.
