They should continue to be pampered and coddled and infantilized, to keep them weak

Occupy Wall Street had a huge problem because the cops wouldn't serve them vegan lunch when they got arrested

The letter was a dumb idea and was inviting controversy. I'm all for protecting academic freedom from knee-jerk students, but the tone and timing was not on point. Better to deal with situations as they arise and use them as moments to spell out to students why it's better for them to confront ideas that they deem uncomfortable in a college setting, rather than shut themselves away from the world. Also, do it in a manner that is less confrontational.

You sound triggered.

Serious question - is this the parents' fault? Are kids like this before they leave home?

They have weak parent figures, so they are vulnerable to the re-education programs to fill the vacuum

Also, their parents are "helicopter parents" who enable the psychology. My friend that works at a university once had a parent of a student show up for a job interview with the student.

Polyamory is a need to never be alone and always have your emotional and personal needs met, a deep sense of entitlement and egotism, and constant self-validation. You could see how an overbearing parent would foster those characteristics
