Also, if “experiment with time” means they give Morgan the ability to Quantum Leap into people’s bodies righting all the Walker family’s wrongs throughout the zombie apocalypse I will take back everything bad Ive ever said about the showrunners.

I'm one season behind at this point. I could hatewatch this show up until then, but i think i'm finally broken! Edit: i read this thread tho and watched the gifs from last season so it's not like im not caught up or anything, maybe it was even a better experience than actually watching the show!

All the character are unintentionally massive assholes, LA has as population of like 62 people, it just sucks. It skips all the interesting bits. It sucks. Did I say IT SUCKS? (I am not kidding about the massive rear end in a top hat part. They feed a hospital to zombies, leave their neighborhood gate unlocked in the zombie apocalypse, torture a soldier for days, etc.) Season 2 starts interesting. The group goes around on a boat like zombie boat trek, interacting with various groups and immediately loving over their lives and ruining them. Super hit and miss with some great episodes, some poo poo episodes (including a time traveling airplane gently caress up), and some bizarre ones like where the main characters literally start taking plays out of Negan's handbook but are presented as the 'good guys' yet. Also the second half sucks, the villains suck and the heroes are idiots (running away from 10 dudes who were willing to walk through a zombie moat). Season 3 is loving good. Why? Because it acknowledges that the characters are sociopaths, assholes and otherwise not nice people. They aren't "the good guys." They might have good intentions but it's clear they are every bit as shady as any TWD villain; Madison seriously would have wrecked the TV Governor before he even knew what happened. Some are better than others, but the show found it's voice by dispensing with the concept of "heroes." It also has world building, and factions and settlements with motivations more reasonable or complex than "we want everything." And for the record Gimple having them write-out Troy was dumb as all gently caress because Troy would have made an amazing wildcard in a crossover. (I'd only seen a handful of episodes from Season 3 -- I stopped because of real life, not because I wasn't enjoying myself -- but he was one of the better additions to the show.)
