edit: there's a sceptre buried somewhere RNG at the start of the game. you win by defeating more and more bosses to get the coordinates of the sceptre. the TAS places it one square away from the player and has them dig there for it, winning the game is seconds.

The SOTN-style castlevania games are crazy in TAS runs because they give you bonus characters that are just completely broken for the hell of it and people beat the games in 2 minutes by slide dashing to Dracula

how in the world did the game accept those answers

from reading the comments, it seems like as long as it recognizes certain letters it will accept the answer (to account for misspelling, maybe?). i think that's right, because if you compare the survey answer and the joke answer they always share a lot of letters.

I believe the answers are always in there and in the proper order but they include a bunch of crap in between as nonsense and the game accepts it because it scans and sees the right answer in there somewhere

There's also [I think] a certain tolerance for misspelling and other inexact but close enough/synonymous answers.

The Jeopardy! one is basically the same thing:

I used to play the SNES Family Feud with my dad a lot and it must be vague enough that whatever triggers that glitch'll show up even when you're playing normally, I'd make a wrong guess or type something random and it'd show a totally unrelated correct answer. It's really good

there's a really good 16bit soccer one where the guy tricks the AI into making like 30 own goals, and the announcer just keeps saying OWN GOAL OWN GOAL OWN GOAL in his bad digitized snes synth voice, but i can't remember which game it is
