Youtube has made it much easier for musicians and in particular video game cover artists to thrive. In this thread, share any good game cover/remix/medley artists you've come across over the years. Keep embedded sample videos to one per artist please, to avoid destroying browsers when they try to load the page, link to the rest please, thank you! Feel free to post artists you enjoy, or new stuff they've put out recently in here!

Johnny Atma (also known as GaMetal - guitar, drums, synth - Johnny's one of the better guitar cover artists I've come across, he does medleys and covers for the most part. He does plenty of "standards"(Megaman, Kirby, Mario, etc) but occasionally does more obscure tracks, and some of his medleys are outstanding. I really enjoy his "iconic themes of gaming" medley. Does all the music himself, and mixes it together. I'm not a huge fan of when he goes off on his own tangents at times, but sometimes they're good and appropriate.

Iconic Themes Of Gaming

Masked Dedede
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars FULL OST Medley

RichaadEB - Guitar - Richaad's a cool dude who does some pretty incredible guitar covers. He even became so prominent at one point doing Undertale covers that Toby Fox licensed an album of his covers including some unreleased tracks, and they're mostly incredible.

ASGORE's theme
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ4GQSyMNEM
MEGALOVANIA
Mass Effect 2: Suicide Mission

DJtheS - mostly synth/techno - does a shitload of medleys and covers. Very good at medleys mixing completely unexpected/unrelated tracks together, most notable are his "Elements" series, wherein he mixes tracks from characters, stages, or bosses with a recurring elemental theme. Also edits many of his videos to be more than just a static background as the music plays, such as switching to a representation of the track playing so you know what it's from, which is helpful for finding the original or when the music changes games. Or just slaps dancing Donkey Kongs on it.

Disciple of Lightning(Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia, Sonic & Knuckles, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Megaman X, Megaman X5, Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character)

Sonic Boom(Street Fighter II, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Undertale, Donkey Kong Land, F-Zero, Sonic The Hedgehog)
Halloween Medley 2016 - Night of the Skeleton(Undertale, Super Meat Boy, Banjo Kazooie, Spooky Scary Skeletons)

Smooth McGroove - Acapella - Smooth McGroove is a really cool dude who was just making some neat little acapella videos when he put out Guile's Theme from Street Fighter and suddenly blew up in popularity, getting 1.7 million subscribers within a month or so. He records every part of a track's audio as a separate acapella bit, and stitches the whole thing together with little windows of each recording in the video. Some will have 5 windows, others can have up to 12! They're really well done and fun, maybe not necessarily something to listen to on the way to work, but definitely fun to pop on every once in a while. Guy's got some range, too!

Comedy option: Tsuko G - Kazoo - Does covers of game music, anime music, etc using pretty much only a kazoo. Sometimes drums. Also a really, really good singer to boot, but he works that kazoo like few can(used to beatbox alongside it but eventually dropped that). Can play drums, guitar, pretty much anything but mostly kazoos it up or sings. I think he speaks Japanese too??? Sure can sing it!

PUNCH-OUT theme KAZOO'd

MEGALOVANIA Kazoo'd

Honorable mention goes to Ronald Jenkees for his incredible remix of Aquatic Ambience from Donkey Kong Country, he doesn't really do game remixes much but one day uploaded this and it's crazy good. All of his stuff is crazy good, really, check him out.

FAU said it'd be cool to post this in Games rather than PYF.

Nice thread

The first thing I think about is Project Chaos, the remixed versions of the Sonic and Knuckles OST.

My personal favorite out of these is Walk on Water: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNRfkr4ShIg

Another good one is Knuckleduster, made by DannyB (the guy behind the Crypt of the Necrodancer and original Binding of Isaac OSTs!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbFiTzDuc20

Lenich & Kirya are two russian dudes who do some stellar covers of Undertale music. All of their stuff is great, but I want to give a shoutout specifically to two: Bonetrousle and Oh! One True Love.

But seriously, listen to all of them.

insaneintherain has a ridiculous catalog of mostly Jazz remixes of game themes. At this point it seems like he's redone every single Pokemon game, but as of late most folks probably would recognize him for Live at Grillby's, which is of course an Undertale Jazz compilation. The dude is actually quite accomplished on saxophone and piano, and he does collaborations with a lot of other musicians too to assemble some really good bits.

The ones I follow that haven't been mentioned already:

Gamechops is a "videogame remix label", with a number of artists all providing music.
Undertale - Tem Shop (Ben Briggs Glitch Hop Remix)
Legend of Zelda - Gerudo Valley (Terlia Electro House Remix)
Smooth McGroove Remixed - Mario Overworld (Ben Briggs) (Yes, you read that right.)

M. Bulteau: The guy in charge of the score for the Majora opera, which you may have heard of at some point.
Undertones - Four Undertale remixes, also available on his Youtube channel. I especially like Boneklezmer.
The PINGAS Variations - Several variations on Robotnik's Theme from the Saturday morning Sonic cartoon.

FalKKonE: Mostly does metal covers. Occasionally switches gears into 8-bit/chiptunes, or two-piano covers. A lot of Monster Hunter stuff, which I can't comment on.
ASGORE (Intense Symphonic Metal Cover) - He has quite a lot of intense symphonic metal covers of Undertale bosses.

NPC: Came to my attention during the Undertale remix craze, and I stuck around. Has a good selection of mainstream and lesser-known games.
Cid's Theme (FFVII)
Main BGM #5 (Bonk's Adventure)
Holy Orders (Guilty Gear)

Comedy option: MrSolidSnake745: Remixes songs on floppy disk drive and stepper motor.

Metal Gear Solid - Encounter
FFVII - Those who Fight Further

Ah yes, OCRemix is a staple, thousands of tracks over the years have vastly expanded my music library and made me appreciate game music much more than just in their respective games, but as music on their own. Their Balance And Ruin soundtrack of basically the entire FF6 OST is, for the most part, stellar. Some clunkers, but that's to be expected. And DannyB did one for that too, Train Suplex, the boss theme!
http://ff6.ocremix.org/

Just some examples I particularly like, but a ton of them are real good, there's over 70 tracks to boot!

A Fistful of Nickels(Shadow's Theme)
Idle City Street(kids run through the city
Train Suplex(Decisive Battle)

And these two are both of the famous Opera Scene in FF6. Both are amazing lyrical renditions of it which take some liberties but are better for it, one is a slamming, fast-paced rock opera. The other is a pseudo-Bohemian Rhapsody tale of tragedy sung by the one and only Jake Kaufman(also known as Virt, did the soundtracks for Shantae, Shovel Knight, Double Dragon Neon, Mighty Switch Force, etc), who has a pretty loving outstanding voice, and it clocks in at a whopping loving EIGHT MINUTES, FORTY-EIGHT SECONDS. Both are fantastic, especially for fan-works.

OA, Moonlapse, BardicKnowledge, Laura Intravia feat. DragonAvenger - The Nightmare Oath (Overture)

Jake Kaufman, Tommy Pedrini - The Impresario (Opera Sequence)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln9Sq7IOP3o

Speaking of Jake Kaufman, I've been listening to his stuff since he was just a babby making Dr. Mario and Contra remixes on OCRemix. But his best work before the likes of Double Dragon Neon is definitely Crystal Flash, his epic 20+ minute journey through the entire Super Metroid soundtrack. It's intense. The intro cutscene rendition he does gives me chills.

moonbowmusicmovie is the YouTube channel of a Japanese band called Meine Meinung. Their core is three dudes, two guitarists and a cellist, which leads to some amazing string versions of classic game songs. They play mostly Nintendo and Squeenix stuff as far as games go. Super Dodge Ball, was, as far as I can tell, a good dodgeball game for the NES with a great soundtrack. It featured a unique theme for each country you could face off against in the field of trying to hit each otehr with rubber balls.

I wouldn't know about this were it not for Super Dodge Ball - Around the World. My favorite tracks from this album are Birmingham Beatdown (vs. Team England) and I Lost my Balls in Moscow (vs. Team USSR), but the whole album is worth a listen.
