The link above is all I've managed to find. Considering they reference the Necromunda skills, I'm assuming it's all 2E rules?

I've always wanted to play Gangs of Nu Ork, but Necromunda at our club kinda stalled. Partly due to the restrictions placed on it by the DM, and the fact they're a teacher and have periods where they're unavailable :/

I have played a few games and it is pretty cool. The only fiddly part is keeping track of all the jobs your guys have, but making little Stat cards for your gang isn't too crazy. I just wish I had a consistent group of people to play it with.

Also, all the missions have a few variations which adds a lot

Everyone should try Gangs of Nu Ork. It is basically Necromunda with a ton more options.

A friend ran a small Space Marine gang, so it was like three guys against a pack of Orks. Would Nu Ork again.

I have been reading Nu Ork and the sheer amount of specialties make me uneasy. Like, at least a few of them are just variations of a theme, and when you build a team from multiple races and specialties, poo poo should get out of hand.

Yeah, this is definitely the main issue I have had with it. It helps if you keep to one or two races and don't feel compelled to give everyone different jobs.

Making little Stat cards for each guy in your gang is ace.

In real content, I am thinking about buying a Blood Bowl team from Comixininos. Any experience with them? Prices seem pretty reasonable.

I like the model, but I couldn't figure out why he had a really terrible looking mask until you said this. What a bizarre choice.

Mr.Booger posted:

The shop got in the organized play kit for this today, has a full rulebook and a hard copy of everything they will release online.

I got about 15 minutes with the book and the necron list.

Neat stuff I can confirm:

- very necromunda like (pre and post game sequences, xp, leveling dudes, collecting resources)
- bloodbowl-like skill chart if you are familiar with it, so types of skills: shooting, str, agility, stealth, etc
- overwatch (the 2nd ed version)
- hiding, you can hide your guys
- ammo rolls, grenades you restock after battle (so limited number during game)
- 4 types of troop (leader, troop, specialist, new hires)
- different armies can have different number of guys and specialists (SM scouts can have 10 guys max, orcs 20, etc)
- shoot closest model unless easier to to hit something else
- multiple range bands, short and long range bands, with modifiers
- str affects armor penalties, no AP, so negatives to armor rolls from higher str hits
- melee is very different, no other gw game uses this new system that i know of

2 guys fight, both roll d6 equal to your attack value, take your highest dice and add your WS this is your combat value.
compare combat values, higher wins, the amount it wins by is the number of wounds, now save vs those wounds
having more than one guy in the combat, the outnumbered guy has to fight all of them in the order the outnumber person chooses, each person past the first gets +1 attack and +1 combat value (third guys +2/+2, fourth +3/+3, etc)

when your last wound is removed you roll on a simple chart, 1 = flesh wound, 2-5 = something, 6 = dead (i think, this one i do not remember exactly) but a injury chart basically. str 7 or higher weapons make the 6 into a 5-6

looks really good imo.

:shittydog: This all sounds like what I want.

Though on the Facebook page they said they're "looking at ways to bring the game to people interested in it" so I suspect they'll either sell the rulebook separately or (much more unlikely) put it up as a PDF or something.

I guess this is a huge downside to keeping everything super secret until right before things go on sale. I assume the stock numbers were set in stone before anyone had a chance to see if their customers would be interested.

For what it's worth, the latest White Dwarf has a tactics article by one of the designers and he even breaks down the teams into three tiers.
Showboaters - Amazons, Chaos Dwarfs, Dark Elves, Dwarfs, Lizardmen, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Shambling Undead, and Wood Elves
Contenders - Chaos, Chaos Renegades, Elven Union, High Elves, Humans, Khemri, Necromantic Undead, Nurgle, Underworld, and Vampires
Stunties - Goblins, Halflings, and Ogres

He elaborates that the stunties are a challenge and meant for more experienced coaches to goof around with. He also says that while there are multiple tiers, this typically represents teams without any sort of advancements and skills tend to level the playing field a bit.

Given all that, I'd say they know.

Huh. Norse and the High Elves are both in the wrong section.

I have also have models for my Intern with two sets of Scything Talons, one with Boneswords for upgrading my leader to those at some point, and then a Scything Talons/Deathspitter guy for upgrading the intern at some point. I really hope that the new Adeptus Titanicus game (or whatever they are calling Epic 3) is good. It is a little weird that it is just Titans and not just straight up Epic, but it is a step in the right direction.

As a 30k guy I am fine with it being set in the Heresy, but they will really need to do a lot with Ad Mech and Imperial Army to get variety. Ultimately, Xenos rule.
