The only fiddly part is keeping track of all the jobs your guys have, but making little Stat cards for your gang isn't too crazy. I just wish I had a consistent group of people to play it with. Also, all the missions have a few variations which adds a lot

Everyone should try Gangs of Nu Ork. It is basically Necromunda with a ton more options. A friend ran a small Space Marine gang, so it was like three guys against a pack of Orks. Would Nu Ork again.

Like, at least a few of them are just variations of a theme, and when you build a team from multiple races and specialties, poo poo should get out of hand. Yeah, this is definitely the main issue I have had with it. It helps if you keep to one or two races and don't feel compelled to give everyone different jobs. Making little Stat cards for each guy in your gang is ace.

Do we need to take a week to mourn after the release of Age of the Emperor before posting about current 40k here, or just go ahead at midnight on launch day? In real content, I am thinking about buying a Blood Bowl team from Comixininos. Any experience with them? Prices seem pretty reasonable.

When I first looked at it, I was like, "What the gently caress is up with the mask on only half of his face?" Then I realized that that was his other hand. I like the model, but I couldn't figure out why he had a really terrible looking mask until you said this. What a bizarre choice.

If you are into your hobby enough you can usually round up people to play with, and using GW minis (that people almost already own) usually means people are more willing to take a chance.

I actually just ordered a few models for Knight Miniatures Batman game. People locally have been threatening to play it, but I figure I will at least get a few cool guys to sit on a shelf. Captain Boomerang being an option along with Riddler and Mad Hatter was just too much to resist.

I am putting together an Eldar list right now, and I think that they are nasty enough where this isn't really a meaningful problem. The Weapons Platform being invincible and not requiring the gunner to have line of sight is amazing. Torn between a diresword for stabbing action on the Exarch, or the ever stylish dual Avenger Shuriken Catapults.

That makes sense. The idea of starting with Gun Beasts without the guns makes sense, but I guess it isn't something I had considered. Making lists for Tyranids is way harder than others. Might just stick with Chaos or Eldar.

They wouldn't be overpowered if they just switched out the snotlings for goblins or halflings. I love playing Ogres, but it is a tough one. If you didn't have to constantly rebuy dead snotlings you would be able to get max Ogres pretty quickly, and having AG 3 Goblins would give you a ton more scoring threats which may also be too much.

My main team is Vampires, but every victory from throwing the ball to an Ogre near the end zone because you have spent so much time throwing savage blocks you don't have time to walk it in is so sweet.

Finally finished painting my SWA Kill Team. My planned starting list is this. Tyranid Alpha - Deathspitter, Scything Talons, Extended Carapace Gun-Beast - Venom Cannon, Scything Talons, Extended Carapace Gun-Beast - Devourer, Scything Talons, Extended Carapace I have also have models for my Intern with two sets of Scything Talons, one with Boneswords for upgrading my leader to those at some point, and then a Scything Talons/Deathspitter guy for upgrading the intern at some point. That seems like a pretty reasonable base of models to have as options to use.

I really hope that the new Adeptus Titanicus game (or whatever they are calling Epic 3) is good. It is a little weird that it is just Titans and not just straight up Epic, but it is a step in the right direction. As a 30k guy I am fine with it being set in the Heresy, but they will really need to do a lot with Ad Mech and Imperial Army to get variety. Ultimately, Xenos rule.
