Shadin posted:God please tell me that's not the real reason. They're selling like crack because plastic MK III and Mk IV Marines. I sold everything I had in prospero box except for Mk IIIs (sweet, sweet Mk IIIs) the rules and the box. I didn't bother with the rules at all, because everyone is in it for the cheap plastic crack. That said, if BaC had had Mk IIIs instead of Mk IVs, it would have been literally perfect.

To be fair, most hams players are Marine players: more than happy with always rolling BS/WS 4. Age of Darkness is that by design!

Mordheim guys making Necromunda? Prepare for gang advancements so incremental they might as well not be there. Also skirmish game in built up environment? Why not infinity? Better miniatures than Mantic and the fluff is maybe somewhat less boring. As I have probably said, I have no loyalty to 40K rulesets and I'd play anything that does Marines better.

Oh yeah, totally. Like, I imagine a campaign system would work much better in a d20 stat system - especially if you start with CC/BS <10 as you are a bunch of bangers who still thing that holding a gun sideways does you good. Unfortunatelly, Infinity isn't interested in that and Campaign Paradiso campaign... Isn't that interesting. It would be possible to cut down Infinity to fit. Do away with a bajillion special rules and ammo types that wouldn't appear in banger land (and are probably unnecessary in actual infinity), maybe introduce some bot/power armor unreliability or whatever. Call it the Infinite Underhive

Oh, and I meant it as a rebuke to Deadzone. I mean, if you're playing skirmish games with campaign rules as an afterthought, why not Infinity?

More grounded, with a sigmarine, a vampire, a steampunk dwarf from the steampunk dorfs that had been rumoured as far back as summer and a high elf mage.

Oh yeah, plastic 4ever. Mk III are almost perfect. Almost. They split the jetpac top (with the nozzles) in two for aome loving reason and now my marines have an unseemly seam on their packs.

Plastic is pricey because of thr mold, at least that's what blessed Leperflesh told us two GW Death Threads ago.

What are good, european shipping friendly websites to buy alt orcs for bloodbowl? I had bern told that I best field 4 Borcs, 4 Blitzers, a troll, a thrower and a lineman, otherwise I would have a poo poo team, so I need tye miniatures not present in GW box.

# ¿ Jan 30, 2017 13:27 |

I'm starting to understanf why people don't like the new team, the aesthetic is basically incompatible with the any of 3rd party miniatures. I'm thinking of cutting my linemen the gently caress up and trying to bash some BO snd maybe blitzers together since I feel kinda scammed: I bought a team and everyone's screaming at me that it's poo poo unless I buy more stuff.

I'm one of two players in my league who aren't old crusty grogs while I haven't played once in my life, so I guess I need every benefit I can get. My division has chaos, elves and even halflings in it, so maybe not all is lost, especially if I can crump opposing players.

# ¿ Jan 31, 2017 07:58 |

I am angry enough to mangle then players that I already have, but I need a troll, so I might get one from comixininos and then maybe blitzer/linemanw with metal face masks, which are what I love about the new blitzers. Unless those minis are metal: then it's a black scorp troll and done.

Ebay.uk only has metal old BB orcs, unless I'm really bad at googling. I don't think In want to deal with trans atlantic shipping.

Also 54mm, for some un-Godly reason. If you have to chose, always chose the smaller miniature scale for your game.

Play Gangs of Nu Ork. Convert a band for Necromunda. Look at non-GW games that the likes of Blessed Ivan Sorresen produce.

I guess it would have been clearer if I had actually quote enri when I wrote that. But seriously, skirmish games exist outside of GW's domain. Hell, you can play Warhammer on non-GW rulesets. Just convert some minis and draw up some stats.

Cities of Death and Zone Mortalis are some of the best ways to play hams, especially if you don't bring many/any of the "I just remove your poo poo" units. I do have to say that the new Planetary Onslaught book is shiiit and basically reduces Cityfight/Cities of Death to mission templates. God I hate that book.

Specifically, it's Inquisitor-on-Inquisitor violence as they disagree on which ancient conspiracy on Emperor's fatr is correct. Someone might even be declared double heretic.

I dunno, the fluff at the begining of the book and the title Inquisitor: Battle for the Emperor's Soul suggests an Inquisitorial bent. I have been reading Nu Ork and the sheer amount of specialties make me uneasy. Like, at least a few of them are just variations of a theme, and when you build a team from multiple races and specialties, poo poo should get out of hand.
