has anyone else noticed when they go to CT it's suspiciously empty and clean? like all the lawns are meticulously cared for but you NEVER EVER seen anyone mowing or cleaning the streets and they're flawless.

I get such a pod-people/all stepford robots feel from the state and it never goes away.

Yale is the finest campus in the USA - blows Harvard out of the fkn water imho

if ur ever in New Haven its always fun to walk around the green by Chapel & College St where all the crazy ppl hang around and then go thru the Phelps Gate into the old campus - it's like stepping thru a fkn portal into a serene and magical Harry Potter world.

also taco truck alley by New Haven harbour, directly off I-95 is a pro-tier stop, tell'em mariana sent u

also the Metro North is p cool but thats more NY than CT but it still puts the MBTA to utter shame (Keolis can go sk a fk)

yes Yale seems to have a rather teniable relationship w/ the rest of the city and unaffiliated community

also check out the Peabody Museum too, they have a mounted Brontosaurus, a Murchison Meteorite fragment, and the dioramas are to die for!

idk they seem much better than MA when it comes to staying out of the left lane tho - plus u can spot CT State Police from far away with their rediculous lights on top of their cruisers. i can usually do boston to new haven in under 2hrs - eat ur heart out Acela

theres also a poo poo ton of pedestrian fatalities in urban connecticut...try crossing the street in downtown Stamford and u will understand why (stay safe).

it's just kinda deceptively long. you look at a map and think oh that's not that bad but it just kinda drags on and there's nothing to look at considering it's a northeastern state

I am a master storyteller.
Yale buys up property in New Haven and leases it out, but doesn't pay any taxes on it so revenue keeps dropping for the city. The city then raises property taxes on everybody else.

Anyways, I've lived in Connecticut for ten years and have carefully compiled a list of the good things about it and I want to share it:

I-95 thins out the commuter herd regularly with horrific traffic accidents.

Lighthouse point beach is a pretty good place if you want to dump some used needles.

New Haven can't plow for poo poo so street parked cars often go into hibernation beneath piles of snow until mid March, when they are awakened by a homeless man stealing their radio.

I knew a dude from Connecticut, we worked temp jobs for a bit and he lived out of his care on a beach. He moved his car 5 feet every day to avoid the antivagrancy laws and spent his off time surfing and smoking weed with dudes from the nearby tribe so I think his life had improved in pretty much every way thanks to leaving CT

Down came the glitches and burned us in ditches and we slept after eating our dead.
how does CT manage to be so much bigger than RI and yet functionally so much less. Does the state even have, like, founding principles? Local food? Its own slang? Historical relevance?

All i know is that i have gotten lost in Putnam like six times and I have never even wanted to go to Putnam. Last time I got lost there it was after midnight and there was a boarded up gas station in fog so thick you could barely see the woods behind it in the headlights. We pulled into to consult the map, and off in the middle of this field there was a lone payphone and while we were looking at the map it started ringing and my passengers begged me not to go but I told them I couldnt just ignore a ringing phone.

Anyway that is my Connecticut experience
