Bug with raids, probably reported itt already, but once you select your attackers, don't touch anything else on the screen until the fight starts. I think I was swiping through the other members of the raid or perhaps opening up my items, and it reverted all my attackers to the suggested cp1000 chanseys  Glad I noticed and swapped them back in.

ugh i keep getting just the worst tyranitars from raids. i'm using my 95.6% 2087cp as a baseline comparison, and i haven't even gotten one from a raid with more than 2035 yet.

Is soloing raids even do-able? I keep getting kicked back to the lobby, so do I need a certain amount of people? Liking the gyms, not sold on the raids yet.

I wanted to go to a Machamp raid today, but it's on the graveyard of one of our churches, and even if I'm not religious, it didn't really feel right to stand on top of the graves duking it out.

You just have to keep in mind that they are glass cannons, so you will probably wipe out (unless you dodge) and go in with a second team, but you can still complete it that way.

Level 26 here. I've been able to solo 1/2 level raids but a level 3 machamp handed me my rear end today. No one else was showing up so I decided to give it a shot anyways. Only took him down to 50% HP when the timer ran out and I was on my last 'mon

In my experience, Machamp and Gengar are relatively easily soloable if you have the right Pokemon and are high enough level. There are reports of people soloing Alakazam, but that seems to be more difficult. I don't think the Eeveelution raid bosses are soloable -- there's been some anecdotal reports of people doing it, but nothing I'd trust. I know for a fact that Jolteon requires a second player -- it's tough to output enough damage on it given that Rhydon is the current best ground attacker, and his DPS is relatively low. A friend and I only barely managed it after multiple tries.

Personal anecdote: There was a prolific player around my area who literally only slotted Blisseys in gyms. He had to have had at least 15 Blisseys. Highly unlikely that he was legit. No one has seen him since the gym revamp

That's promising. It doesn't help me with my two closest gyms, which are run by Mystic 99% of the time. The only explanation is that the congregation (it's a church) agreed to all be on one team at launch.

I'm starting to realise that by taking gyms down, you're doing the other teams a favour. I want someone to attack my gyms but they're not. I'm up to 7 mons in gyms now, one of them has been gone 5 days. Feeding berries is basically trolling your own team.

Feeding berries is me trying to get Chansey, Dragonite and Snorlax candy. Instead, it's just 20 stardust. Also as a gang turf "get bent" to the Valor guy slumped in his hatchback drive-playing and almost hitting parked cars distracted driving near all the local gyms.

The odds of getting candy from feeding at a gym seem to be less than 1%. Don't be fooled by people who say they've gotten multiple candies from feeding just a few times. Those are statistical outliers.

Is it just me or once you finish a raid at a gym, can you not spin the pokestop at that gym until the raid timer is up? Kind of obnoxious, since the setup/battle for the raids takes about 5 minutes itself and even more so if you have to try multiple times. Would be nice to spin before and spin after

Yesterday afternoon when I went out, the city was heavily dominated by blue. Today I wake up, and over a third of the gyms in the city have flipped to yellow and red. So this is what it looks like when Niantic goes after spoofers as well as bots, and renders their army of Blisseys unusable in combat. That soft ban hammer hits awfully hard. What surprises me is that there are so many more Valor gyms now. I always assumed that spoofers and other play-to-win types were disproportionately red.

Seeing as Fighting types are both rare and valuable, is it better to use Charged TMs on my two Rock Smash Pinsirs or on Poliwraths looking for Dynamic Punch? e: also bearing in mind that Pinsir will be useless against 2/3 of Tyranitars.

I'm sure when they get hit the mystic spoofers will rise. I've seen spoofing on all 3 teams, it's just a matter of who got banned last

I don't spoof or bot, but I always get worried when I see things like this happen. Has anyone confirmed what happens with these "slashed" mons? Do they stay unusable in your bag forever until you transfer them?

I feel like the majority of obvious spoofers I've seen are instinct, I.e the players who retake a gym as soon as you take it down and stack it with level 40s but no one's there. I think a big part of it, here at least, is that there's enough legitimate red and blue gym taking and whatnot that if a few people on either team are spoofing you can't really tell, whereas there's just about 0 naturally occuring instinct gyms because player population is so badly skewed against them.
