Anybody else born in the late 70s/early 80s and have children's books that tried to help like a six-year-old come to grips with the existential horror of nuclear annihilation? Cause looking back, that's some pretty heavy poo poo to lay on a kindergartner and it's preeeeeety hosed up that things like that were ever (and that they remain) necessary. Fuckin try to grasp MAD as a six year old and then play Raid Over Moscow on your C64 where the first city that's going to get nuked is Chicago and hey, that's where you live, and now that I think of it this probably goes a long way towards explaining the aggressively nihilistic world view I cultivated at an early age.

One of my favorite parts of my last job was all the cool training we got. During the UNWTP (underground nuclear weapons training program) we got to tromp around the Nevada Test Site. The highlight for me was getting to walk around in house featured in many nuke films. The one that gets hit by the shock wave and sways back and forth. It's still standing. The only warning we got was "Watch out, there are sometimes wild dogs in the basement." Also, Sedan Crater!

Running completely smooth for me but it tripped the high performance GPU and appears to be maxing out several CPU cores while using 1.5GB of ram just for this tab (Current gen 15" MBP with a quad core i7). This thread is the first time I've ever seen Chrome crap out, every five minutes the page crashes and restarts with green squares in the place of every gif. It's not like my computer is poo poo, it's a 6600k with 16GB of 2600mhz memory. Sort the loving gifs out.
