Hey, let’s all die of incompetence and dysentery: Battle Brothers is the mercenary company management game by Overhype Studios, an indie dev team out of Hamburg, Germany. The game came out in March after a while in Early Access, and it’s seen some success because of its art, replay-ability, charm and well refined mechanics.    I just like the game. It scratches that same itch that XCOM does, and my brain loves to obsess over the min-maxing, the soaring highs, and the soul crushing lows of Ironman playthroughs. For this playthrough, I’ll be doing it all on Veteran difficulty on Ironman mode. I’ll gladly take suggestions on what to do with regard to skills, stats, equipment, perks, etc for our battle bros, and you guys are welcome to put yourselves into the meat grinder that will be our company by submitting your names. Just submit your name, what background you prefer... stuff like that One thing though, I’m not a particularly good captain. People will die.  Soooo many people will die. The devs said they are only fixing bugs from here on out and no longer making content for Battle Brothers. No mod support coming in the future either. Overhype is moving on to other projects. Why do this? I like this game, and it’s held my interest for longer than most games do. I hope to inspire others to support Overhype in hopes that they give me more of the same in their next project. You suck. You’re right. Depending on the alignment of the planets I can be brilliant at commanding little bobbing dudes on the battlefield or an addled clown. This inconsistency makes for some interesting situations and unlikely victories, but also for crushing defeats. I could do this much better. Here’s where I invite you to do just that. You want to show people how to tackle this game on expert? You want to break this game over your knee by min-maxing, savescumming, or playing a god-tier seed? Do it. Sign me up - I like this game a lot and also thought it would be great for an LP, since goons can't get enough of horrible things happening to goons. Wow Gisbert is a monster of an early game character  One thing I don't like about this game is the way damaging items affects drops - it makes logical sense but in practice leads to enemies dropping helmets and weapons much more often than body armour, which means all of your money tends to end up going to armour and leads to tedious knife/dagger cheesing. The impact sounds for shield, armor, and flesh are all very visceral. A two hander deacpitating several fools at once is a gory cacophony of gurgles and sounds of flesh being rent.

The terrible 'caravan hand' you hired was actually a daytaler, who tend to have worse stats. I think it would be good if you hovered over the traits to show their effects to those that don't play - I think being fat is a neutral trait (  ) since you get +10 HP for -10 fatigue (fatigue is more useful but you can just level accordingly to balance it out)
