I just saw this for the first time. Don't know where to begin other than I thought it was awesome. Thoughts?

The very first time a friend showed me the movie, he described it as "Richard Elfman made a movie." That was all I knew going into it. Seeing a young Oingo Boingo rocking out (even if in weird makeup) was worth it. Weird to know that one of the Kipper Kids is still married to Bette Midler, and the guy has hardly aged.

Forbidden Zone is one of my favorites. Unique visuals, amazing songs, great dance numbers. It's just fun.

This movie is so good, I saw it way back when I was an edgy teenager and it blew my mind. I was kinda afraid to revisit it but surprise, it's still amazing. It captures the essence of the 80s underground comix scene so well, kind of weird and furious and blisteringly problematic.
