The Will Muschamp coached South Carolina GameCocks scored 35 points against a much hyped defense. Maybe he just totally hosed up QB recruiting at Florida. Hell, they were equally lovely under McElwain when he had to play Treon Harris. I have no expectations of returning to the glory years under Spurrier but maybe we can at least go bowling regularly and not go back to being as bad or worse than Vandy.

K-State hung 519 yards and 55 points in less than 23 minutes of possession on Central Arkansas, without even considering a 96 yard kick return (not TD) and a 60+ yard punt return (for a TD). I don't care it's an FCS program, that's a lot of points. Three different pass TDs of 50+ yards. I, uh, have no idea how this is going to go the rest of the year, but I like that.

USC was really missing Cam in the first half too. Once he was back, the defense improved a lot. Also, it was like 110 degrees on the field, who knows how that affected play for both teams. If USC recievers not named Burnett could hold onto a catch, that's a very different game. Also, we distracted everyone by having Jake Olsen play, that was awesome of WMU to not block on that play.

So Smart said Eason has an knee sprain, but also that he doesn't quite know the severity of it yet. Of course I am the pessimist and think he destroyed his ACL and the Jake Fromm era has begun. Also Brice Ramsey is not a good quarterback.

So my big xii week 1 recap: OSU - did exactly as was expected, blew the doors off a decent Tulsa program. OU - did exactly as was expected, blew the doors off a terrible utep program TCU - did exactly as was expected, blew the doors and windows off a hapless Jackson State UT - hahahaha KSU - did exactly as was expected, which is to say dominate a good UCA program KU - looked competant against a terribad SEMO. Kansas of yesteryear struggles in that game TTU - surprisingly dominant win against a top ten FCS team ISU - I don't know, I didn't get to see this one. They won? That's good. Baylor - hahahahahaha WVU - plays tomorrow Trending up: Kansas, TTU. Trending down: Texas, Baylor
