If they lose, please don't boo your team off the field again like in 2015.

I wanted to loving fight everybody doing that in 2015. I was heartbroken but COME ON.

EDIT: Ugh seriously I was so mad. They lost 3-0 against Cy Young Keuchel and weren't even supposed to be that good that year. I think people had really low expectations for the Yankees this year and even a WC loss wouldn't generate the same venom as the 2015 lineup though, with the "overpaid" vets and all.

I have a hard time imagining that the average Yankee fan has lower expectations this October than they did two years ago. The average fan of any team has inflated expectations, and New Yorkers are no exception. This year, they came close to winning the division and they have the presumptive MVP.

Right but in March they were supposed to finish at .500. I don't think anybody will be happy with losing the WC, but I don't think people will be angry at the team for it? I dunno, I just don't want people to loving boo the team again godammit.

Apparently Hample and I were at the same game this year and that knowledge alone makes me hate baseball a little more

Yeah, I was at a game he was at, and I watched him climb onto the wall next to the Yankee's bullpen, scamper down the netting and grab a ball out of midair that the bullpen catcher had thrown to a girl who he had specifically pointed out. Everybody looked in disgust as he did it then literally ran away. The catcher looked like he wanted to climb up and fight him

I didn't realize it was Hample until later when I saw that he had been at the game. Also the girl got a ball a minute later, it was placed into her mitt around the end of the fence to eliminate any chance of another Hampleing.
