Am I missing something about chain attacks? I keep loving them up and not getting the kill with them due to the wrong orbs being cracked or broken. Also I was losing it in chapter 4 at Muimui and Bana's emergency slides into an orb that is clearly going to be piloting a super robot.

I think there is certainly something to that higher chance of rare blades at the start of a chapter thing. I just got the fourth party member and crushed a bunch of cores with them (rares and one legendary, burning my stock of boosters as well) and got Perceval, Floren, and KOS-MOS along like 3 generics. I wish there was a way to keep the base skins for upgraded weapons though, since KOS-MOS's basic guns look cool.

I think this is a case where trying to make internally cpnsistent explanations would make the whole thing fall apart, so it's better not to. The effectively immortal beings not having the implicit task of being a historical record is a neat wrinkle, though.

I'd absolutely play a game with Morag as the lead. Hopefully there will be at least a dlc story for her. I'm hoping Torna squad also gets one, so I can get more of Malos failing to not yell at people.

I just noticed that characters have different swimming animations. Most do a breast stroke, but Mythra does a normal front crawl and Nia and obviously Dromarch dog paddle.

Cooking with Morag and Brighid is the best show. Somehow I've got 50 hours, maybe a few of them idle for various reasons, and have only just started chapter 5. This game is really dense with side quests, areas that are way bigger than expected, and trying to figure out how to get to the drat Fief of Forgetfulness.

Pretty sure Cunning Saggie is a unique monster, which require significantly more to take out. You can tell if you're fighting one because the music is different.

How comparatively unexaggerated Pyra and Mythra has grown on me. You can still feel the poor direction, but the two sounding fairly ordinary I think distinguishes than a bit.

This would probably be too big an ask, but it would have been fun if they'd pulled more US regional accents for the blades, too. Like there's the Texan common boys and Dahlia is apparently a southern belle, but like bring in someone from Boston or Brooklyn. Imagine a Minnesotan Pyra.

Having just finished chapter 6, it will be a crime if there is not some dlc story where you get to play as the Torna crew or get them as blades. They all chew the scenery so much and it's great. It's really something when Malos looks like the normal guy.
