With a steel-toed boot, Kal Risso kicked at the hatch of his drop pod until the servos dropped and hitched squarely into place. With a rattling thunk, a lurch, and a deafening hiss of hydraulics, the bolts blasted out and the hatch was released, jettisoning the door and the pod's contents unceremoniously onto the floor of the bitter desert wasteland known as Salt. Kal uncoupled his ejection seat's restraining belts and righted himself in mid-sprawl. He dusted his leather bomber jacket off and surveyed the bleakness of his surroundings.

What an ugly place, Kal thought. Dry bones, derelict shipwrecks, and endless desolate salt flats as far as the eye could see. Kal swore a Teluvian curse and watched with bemused curiosity as one of the hovering camera drones nearby beeped and bobbed angrily in his direction, as if insulted. He swatted at the thing and it veered far away, gaining air and tracking him from way outside his spurs' attack range. This was just not going to be his day.

The drugs and neurostabilizers that had been pumped into Kal at the moment of his drop-pod's orbital release were already starting to wear off. He moved toward the nearest visible landmark he could spot in the distance. With his heightened endurance and superhuman constitution, his initial trek through the barren wastes should prove to be no problem.

Kal Risso circled warily around the perimeter of the ancient metal gunships' wreckage, seeking out some piece of valuable scrap or an obvious crate of ordnance worthwhile enough that he could salvage it for some precious luxe. What he found instead was something far less inert and far more dangerous than he had ever considered encountering this early into the game: a Beta Enforcer, sitting in the center of the ruins on high alert, deeply engaged in its patrol//attack protocol. The β Rig seemed strangely fixated on scanning one particular region of the zone for threats, keeping its gun raised. What could it possibly be seeking out? Was it protecting something? Kal stealthily circled around the Beta Enforcer's position to get a better view. There was no way he could take out a Beta Enforcer on his own, not with his current arms. If this solitary Enforcer Rig turned his way, he'd have to pull the cord on his Squidpack and run.

As he got closer to the β Enforcer's apparent region of interest, Kal heard a faint, choked voice, straining itself to be heard against the whipping desert winds.

"Oh, is that someone there? Thank God - I thought I was going to die out here alone!"

Kal moved closer to the rasping voice, being overly cautious to avoid the Enforcer's scanners. He didn't have the heart to say it, but there was no God to be thankful for - certainly not here.

"Can you move?" Kal called out. "That Enforcer is looking for threats in your exact position."

The reedy voice lashed out, desperate, "I know - p-please! Help me. I'm a ... a soldier-for-hire. I know the secret location of a treasure, I just need some first aid or a Medikit to get me on my feet."

Kal didn't have a Medikit and his first aid knowledge was rudimentary at best. If he stayed here too long, that Enforcer Rig was going to come swinging around and it would attack them both with impunity. There's no way they'd both make it out of here alive. Not today.

"I can't help you, friend. All I can do is create a diversion for us both, if you can still move, now's the time to get up and RUN!"

Kal Risso pulled the zip cord on his Squidpack and ran between cover and into the distance through a thick cloud of inky nanotechnicolor blackness.

When the Squidpack finally stopped leaking its inky black discharge into the air, Kal Risso slowed down so the nanobots in the pack could sew the thing back shut. What a handy device, this Squidpack! Kal knew that he was still being watched: from the air by long-range aerial drones and from the ground by the silent, cloaked microcams. He decided to do a little mugging for the cameras, then.

He threw up his right hand in the air in a mock salute, exclaiming to a barren desert, "This act of cowardice and depravity, courtesy of yours truly. Squidpack! Get yours today!" He pulled down his mask and gave a winner's smile, flashing a thumb's up for extra emphasis.

The moment passed and Kal pulled up his rebreather. He went off in the direction of the nearest landmark he'd spotted in the region and climbed to get a good view of the area. This would have to do for his purposes.

His baseline retinal scans of the area had turned up some pretty paltry results. No matter. He had places he needed to be and ancient shipwrecks he wanted to explore. Kal Risso set off in the direction that felt wisest and tried to maintain a low profile while he did so.

Kal had to keep to the breakneck pace he expected of himself. It wasn't often he'd had this much room to really roam ever since he'd been locked up, and it was nice to stretch the legs. Stay on the move or die, those were his only options left in life, especially now that he was out in the deep reaches, so far from actual civilization. Out here in the barren wastes of Salt, Kal's death might not actually cause such a major medical catastrophe like he'd always been warned it would be. It was reassuring, in a way, but it also left the disgraced Rig-pilot feeling naked. His 00-Class M-Patient status had always afforded him extra care and protection from law enforcement and medical staff. Not so down here in Salt - he'd get no special treatment out here. Out here the things actually wanted more mutations, craving monstrous changes like the cyborg soldiers do their brutally inhuman augmentations.

Besides, it's not about whether it happened in a heavily-populated area or not, Kal Risso simply wouldn't forgive himself if he died.

Kal Risso grabbed a nearby rock and started whacking at the rusted padlock fastened to the back of the dilapidated taco truck. He no idea how long the truck had been sitting there burned out, but judging by the sunbleached dye in the plastiform sandwichkin sitting atop the mobile eatery, this was a vehicle that no one had thought about as their "home" in a really long time.

There were valuables that could be found tucked away in an abandoned mobile home's storage units, why not try to find something useful inside the taco truck?

Kal Risso swore under his breath. He had spent too long here, trying to break into what was becoming a particularly pernicious problem. He dropped the rock he was holding and straightened out his arm, raised his wrist towards the rusted lock and fired off a brachial spur at high velocity. The aerodynamic bone shard shot out from his wrist and struck the busted lock with the full force of a gunshot.

The rusted padlock was utterly destroyed, and Kal opened the hatch. Rummaging around, he was assaulted by the cloying smells of authentic Neo-Mexican seasoning. That meant he'd find valuable SPICES in here.

Kal Risso had seen many a derelict tanker ship in his day (especially today), but this one particular piece of wreckage was simply on a scale beyond compare for those of Terran make. The megalithic carrier ship that Kal was climbing was sliced neatly and utterly in half, as though it had been bisected by a lance of pure nucleonic lasers-fire. Kal clambered onto barren shell of a deck, where he was greeted by a strange sight. A huge stack of cars stood on the verge of toppling off the edge of the platform he had reached... how curious.

Kal cautiously stepped up to the very precipice and looked deep into the dark, cavernous guts of the megatanker, seeking out some salvage to scrounge. That's when he saw it. At the center of it all, mired in the pitch blackness of the oily surfaces just beneath him, Kal Risso saw some kind of squamous horror staring directly at him, its endless maw slowly opening and unfolding ceaselessly like an eldritch flower in bloom... Risso started gibbering almost instantly, and he stumbled backwards and into the tower of cars, setting them entirely off balance.

Kal Risso climbed onto his knees and frantically crawled to the edge of the derelict ships's deck, peering tentatively over the edge for the squamous horror that he'd spotted below. When he'd locked eyes with the scaly thing only moments prior he'd thought he'd seen his very life flash before his eyes down that dark and grisly throat, drawn in by a sickly, sticky tongue. Then he'd fallen backwards in fright and knocked into that looming stack of cars... when they all began wobbling and toppling and falling over, Kal dove for cover, watching with mounting horror as car after car seemed to screech and crunch and slide inexorably off the deck's platform, cartwheeling and slamming into the metallic ravine below, right where the creature had been opening up it's endlessly gaping maw right before him.

Kal took in the scene at a glance, seeing only splattered monster guts and an oily, inert ooze seeping in among the wrecked cars. Huh. It was only through sheer, serendipitous luck that Kal had remained unscathed throughout the whole encounter.

From behind his mask, he flashed his classic winner's smile and brandished an intense thumbs up for whole the universe to see. "I- uh.... I meant to do that!"

He had the whole tanker all to himself for the next hour or so, at least. What was he to do?

Kal Risso's game-sanctioned COMMS tablet bleeped and flashed out a vibratory dance of electronic joy, and Kal whipped out the pesky device to take a look. He thumbed through the myriad blocked messages that had been sent from his friends, from his family, and from more than several of his former lovers, all trying to wish him luck and support in the Wrecking Crew games. A lot of good their messages'll do him, here in Salt. Kal won't be able to read a word of theirs until his work here is done, and that doesn't happen until the fat lady sings - for mercy. He closed down a matching application revealing all the sexy mutants in the area that would like to meet with him, and he found what he was looking for: an official alert from the games.

The weirdly amorphous stranger was dead - killed by immense irradiation somewhere nearby, no less. Shame. Kal also noticed that ten Luxe had made its way into his online account somehow. Great. Furthermore, Kal's device had just finished downloading some new time-sensitive application, one that allowed Kal to directly upload his salvage into Luxe. Perfect. he knew just what he needed to do.

Kal dumped out his pockets into the sands and, holding up his COMMS tablet, he took a hyper-crisp picture of his collection of scrap, gadgetry, and ancient packets of Spice. He watched with mild unease as the geocached photo was uploaded from his device and onto the Wrecking Crew's game servers, whereupon the tagged items before him were whisked away in a shimmering fractal haze of teleporter magic.

Kal looked at his tablet's readout and watched as it updated in realtime: Kal Risso: 37L Excellent.

He set off toward the saltwater inlet he'd seen from far off, back when he was still climbing the megatanker. Rumor has it there was a powerful submarine in there made with ancient machinery and valuable weaponry...

Unfortunately, his ocular implant's Geiger readouts started climbing exponentially upon his approach. He'd have to go around this hazard instead of through it, or else he'd need a special boon from any of his supporters that might still be watching...

Now that he had the coin to pay for it, he knew what he needed to ask for.

"Innoculation, my friends, radiation innoculation - my Luxe for a radical radiation deterrent!"

Kal Risso was setting up camp for the night underneath a ramshackle embankment of rusted ship metal when he heard "the call." It came quietly at first, as if it was being emitted from a terribly long distance, but as far as where the call was coming from, the flighty Neotype could get no directional bearings to make sense of. The screaming static of the sandstorm on Kal's visual and audio scanners were not helping, either. It seemed -strangely enough- as though the call was coming from all directions at once, and it only seemed to be getting louder. Suddenly, the droning voices went silent. Kal was starting to feel panic settling in when the sound returned, loud and clear, as if someone were standing right behind him: the Voice. It spoke inside Kal's mind with reverberating power:

"Risso.... Risso... Come to us, brother Risso. Join us and we shall rule this desert. We have the key that will unseal the Vault, which bears the weapon that shall unseat the Beast. We have been waiting for the One who would bring us to that moment of Glory, Risso. We have been waiting for you, our brother... Lay down your arms and let us come nearer, so we may see you one mutant to another..."

Kal Risso had been tired of these mind games from square one. His cortical implant had finally adjusted to the sandstorm's novel parameters, and he could just make out the approach of five haggard shadows slowly bearing down on him in the thick of the night. It was time to make a decision: fight or flight.

Kal Risso broke the silence of the sandstorm to scream into the blackness of the desert, "I'm a Neotype, you psychotic freak. Now get out of my head and stay out!" It was time to improvise with what he had on hand.

He locked himself inside the depths of a metallic craft's hatch and rummaged around in the darkess for some bedding.

Time to get his bearings.

He switched on the interactive map display of Salt on his handy COMMS tablet. The readout displayed the local time and his approximate location.

"Let's see... I'm right HERE, at 13.05."
He poked at the map with his finger, to center it on his location.

"And today I want to go HERE-"
He stabbed at the map with his finger twice to get an ultra-enhanced view of 10.05.

"But I'll need some SPONSOR ASSISTANCE first. If you all want to see what's in that zone - dear watchers in the sky - I'll need you to send me.... this!"

He scrolled past inventoried images of the Wreckers' potential supply drops, ultimately landing his tablet's sights on a Rad Innoculation syringe (Cost: 25+11=36 Luxe).

"Get this to me within the next couple of hours and I'll be over there in a jiffy, no questions asked. Otherwise..."

He shrugged dramatically and began wandering off in the wrong direction.

Kal Risso couldn't believe it! The almighty eyes in the sky had witnessed his plight and sent him what he'd asked for! As the delivery drone deftly departed, Kal was swept up in a wave of gratitude for the great maker of this fine product... after a snapping into a series of flexing action poses, Kal bowed, waved to the skies like he was in an invisible ticker-tape parade, and then ripped open the packaging with alacrity.

Inside, Kal found a pristine syringe encapsulating a sparkly fluid, which glowed a beautifully violent shade of purple... huh? Kal hadn't realized they were giving out the good stuff to Wreckers. It looked to be straight out of a holo-film...

"Thanks Delphi Pharma! Thanks to you I won't need to melt into-"

That's when when the second package "landed."

A dispatch-class aero delivery drone crowned by a large rippling holo-banner of a chess piece and an avian flew overhead and nonchalantly dropped its burden - a crate with a mystery package within - somewhere over the large crane. The delivery box plummeted from the sky, corrected itself with micro-thrusters until it was hovering politely in midair, and then in burst into splinters as the lashing tongue of the Squamous Horror broadsided the crate and drew its precious cargo inside of itself...

"Pack this lot, I'm not going back into that shivheave's mouth if I can help it."

Kal Risso scanned the horizon with his retinal binoculars. There! In the water! He'd spotted it when he was higher above ground, earlier. Now it was just sitting there, jutting out from the brackish grey seas like a sore metal thumb. It must be grounded on some reef in the shallows of the inlet, Kal wagered. He pumped himself up with rebreathing exercises and got ready to jump in.

The water was strangely warm, once you got used to it. Kal Risso thanked his lucky stars that he'd bought that chemproof sleeve for his COMMS tablet. He could already feel it welling, filling up with coagulant even as he told his body to ignore the pain, recycle the lung for nutrients, and soldier on. Ah, thank the lady luck that those explosive barrels had been there, ready to blow, here in the middle of this life-forsaken rust storm. Those fiery explosions had rocked the enforcer onto its side, and all the windswept rust had jammed up the Enforcer's systems until it had become entirely inoperable. He could feel himself overheating. He couldn't stay here.

Kal Risso had sought out secret riches and he'd gotten what he'd come for. It was time to leave this rusted out shell of a hellhole before it got even more dangerous. Kal's first instinct was to get himself and his trusty squidpack exfiltrated from the arena of Salt as safely and as quickly as possible. The problem was: would any of the sponsors ever go for that? It was unlikely - most sponsors only cared about their favorite Wreckers because they wanted to see them get forced into situations involving mayhem, explosions, body modification and bloodshed, whereas the others... they wanted to see a story, they wanted to root for a hero, they wanted to see those heroes get dashed against the rocks of impossibility again and again and again and somehow emerge from it all bloodied but alive. Kal had succeeded in his mission with the Derelict and he'd gotten good and bloodied in the process, but it was simply unheard of to ask to leave the game's arena so early, especially now that the beacon's been activated. Ready or not, big boy mecha-Cancer was primed and coming for them all.

Kal Risso swore an oath as he climbed out of the Derelict and directly into the red thickness of a violent rust storm. He dropped to the salty, rust-blown land below and regained his bearings from what few landmarks he could make out, trudging off in the direction he'd originally come from.

Once he hit dry land, however, Kal completely his lost all sense of direction. Being stuck in the middle of the rust storm meant his Comms tablet was being even less helpful than usual. He went with the age-old practice of letting chance decide his fate. He flipped a coin and follow its marker's bearing...

Squinting, Kal Risso strode through the dusty corridors of yet another ancient shipwreck, seeking scrap, salvage and salvation from the rust storm.

When he saw something vast and misshapen squirming in the shifting rust-sands ahead, Kal dove for cover and stayed there, slowing his breath. On his approach, Kal Risso moved silently and swiftly under the cover of the swirling sands, making headway toward a familiar landmark that loomed in the distance. It jutted out from the encroaching sandstorm like a rigid spike of ancient metal: the massive crane stood there, imposing, groaning in the whipping wind. Directly beneath it was the scaly monstrosity that had lashed and mangled Kal so horribly and swallowed his supply drop from Rook-Eng-Org. Kal mentally marked the region off on his readouts and and backed off to the outermost range of the beast's senses. Visibility was extremely low, which had worked in his favor. The squamous horror hadn't noticed him, which was good.

Time to take this nice and slow. Kal began searching the area for something that might be of use to him...

As Kal Risso traced his route through the scattered wreckage, the corners of his rebreather mask turned slightly in a frown. He'd been planning something big in this region, but now that the rust storm was diminishing, he no longer had a suitable defense against the longer-ranged mutants in this region. That meant that the squamous horror he'd encountered along with those mutants could probably seek him out if he stayed put for too long.

He didn't intend to stay here much longer, that was for sure. He dragged the last component into place and stepped back, admiring his handiwork. It was time to move.

No no no no no no no no!

Kal Risso muttered curses under his breath as the Squamous Horror simply bounded past his carefully-laid ambush as if nothing had been in its way at all. Kal had no reason to stick around here... If he wanted to get at those goods the horror had swallowed up, he had better come back with increased firepower.

There was nothing here - nothing here at all. Nonetheless, Kal had to keep moving, had to keep on the go, had to always be trying to find more goods that could be salvaged for scrap. He cast his eyes about the cracked desert, searching for anything of value.

After a quick survey of the arena map, Kal Risso began trekking toward his next target. While fiddling with his game-restricted COMMS tablet during the uneventful slog, Kal noticed that he had 35 luxe loaded into his online wrecker account. Let's see, that was enough to buy-

A holo-message popped up onto his screen... an ad? No, wait a second-

Pertinax Ammunition Fabrication Systems posted:

Quick Reminder to all Wreckers:
*Please remember to update your supply wishlist!*
- PAFS Director of Sponsorship Affairs

It was just what he needed. Kal poked at the holo-message and clicked through the pages of adverts and formal requisition instructions before he could get to the input field:

Kal Risso's Wish List posted:

Drone Delivery: DPM Rife. Cost: 34 Luxe

With that task completed, Kal continued on his journey along the beach until he spotted something interesting the distance...

Kal Risso hoisted himself into the partially-submerged megatanker and explored every nook and cranny of the burst ship's hull. Strangely enough, aside from the shallow waters lapping at the wreckage, there was nothing dangerous or otherwise inconvenient about this shipwreck at all. Not a single mutant or monster or mecha to stand in his way and threaten his continued attempts at existence with claw, tooth, and tracer cannon. None of those things at all... Kal was mystified, if anything.

This place was downright peaceful. Kal pulled down his mask and took a deep breath of the briny ocean breeze. The rust storm has dissipated entirely, and it was good to take a breather and dry off. He grinned and set to work finding a place to camp.

Kal was halfway through kicking in the door to the ex-captain's quarters when he was buzzed by an alert from his COMMS tablet:

#REKT posted:

Pertinax AmmoFab has spent 34 Luxe (5 Sponsor, 29 Wrecker) on behalf of Kal Risso for Drone Delivery of a DPM Rifle! It will arrive on Sponsor Phase.

Finally, he'd have a weapon beyond his own two arms! Could this day simply get any better?

"This shot's for you, Pertinax Ammofab!" Kal announced to the world.

He straightened both his arms in the direction of the door's deadbolts and squeezed off twin brachial spurs through the tops of his wrists that blasted through the rusted material of the door itself. Kal launched himself into a heaving kick in the same spot with his metal boot and cracked it open in one go.

He was in.

No encounter action!

With a final shove and the grinding squeal of rusty metal hinges, Kal Risso heaved open the busted hatch and took a look inside. The ship captain's quarters were practically unblemished, if a little dusty. There was a bed, clean water supplies, emergency rations... a disintegrated skeleton with an ancient pistol in its hand... It was the perfect hideaway for the night!

Better yet, there was an unopened safe still sitting intact inside the captain's bedroom. Who know what kinds of goods he'd find once he'd cracked open that safe's lock?

Kal Risso salvages! Rich Salvage x2: 6d6 12

Kal Risso spread his newfound riches all over the captain's untouched bed and rolled around in them with unrestrained glee. He stretched his aching limbs and yawned as he pulled his boots off. He planned on taking just a quick cat-nap in the captain's bed among the captain's most precious goods.

Visions of sniper rifles danced in his head as Kal Risso flooded his brain with melatonin compounds to help him better sleep through the night. In the morning there'd be a present waiting for him.

When Kal Risso woke in the morning he was immediately seized with a rush of excitement. He pulled on his boots and bounded out of the hatch from the captain's quarters and through the halls to the megatanker's main deck. Just outside the exit, as though sitting on his very doorstep, was a box labelled with the distinctively utilitarian markings of Pertinax Ammo Fabrication Systems. Ah, it had arrived! Kal tore into the grey fibercard packaging with a reckless zeal, a smile spreading across his unmasked face.

It had arrived: the DPM Rifle he'd always wanted! Now Kal could hunt down his targets from afar instead of always feeling like he was the hunted one.

Once he'd gotten through the manual and re-assembled all the modular components piecemeal, Kal took a practice shot at a piece of scrap jutting out from the water some several clicks away. He muttered to himself, readjusted the wind settings, fired once again, nodded slightly, and then slung the rifle over his shoulder before setting off for yet another day as a surviving participant in the Wrecking Crew.

Kal Risso was lining up his shot onto the cockpit of the solitary Gamma Enforcer when an honest-to-gods-be-damned time cop suddenly burst into view within his sight's crosshairs in some kind of man-sized tesseract.

Holy Frijoles! Kal blinked repeatedly to reboot his digi-contacts' mainframes in case they were on the fritz, and - that wasn't just the spice talking! That was the real deal - a Continuity Ranger - what were they doing here? The Ranger spoke to himself in a sonorous monotone:

Continuity Ranger posted:

The anachronistic antagonist seemed to be searching for someone specific to deliver to chrono-justice. Kal Risso followed his instincts when it came to authority figures suddenly appearing from interdimensional rifts and ducked for cover. Better to avoid this guy entirely... Who knows, maybe the time-traveler will leave this location on his own accord?

Considering he had neither the chrono-enforcer nor the gamma enforcer on his tail, Kal Risso's tactical retreat had proven itself to be a resounding success. Kal patted himself on the back where his Squidpack was snugly strapped on. Even if it did have a tendency to leak until it sealed itself shut, his pack's nanopigment aerosol was clearly worth its weight in luxe.

Once he'd discovered a suitable sniper's nest to camp in in the nearby rock formations, Kal Risso set to work establishing a defensive perimeter just in case any unwantables might have the temerity to show up and ruin his stakeout.

Kal Risso sighted the Gamma Enforcer in his max-powered rangefinder goggles. It was just a matter of taking the shot on the mech's pilot at a point where his position wouldn't be noticed. So far, no sign of the Continuity Ranger on normal visible bands, which was a good thing as far a Kal was concerned.

He hunkered down in his hideaway, collecting his rifle and pack. The hunt was on!

No sooner had Kal Risso lined up his shot up on the Gamma Enforcer's pilot then a jangling alert from his COMMS Tablet told him that a mechanical interloper had breached his security perimeter. Without a second thought, Kal Risso slammed on the perimeter breach button he'd set up for just such an occasion. With the popping bang of explosives and and loud crash of debris, some support structures gave way.

Ambush!
Improvise against the Beta Enforcer: 1d6 6 - Exposed Conduits

Still Nestled in his sniper's perch, Kal could hear the buzzing snap and crackle of electricity coursing through a large metallic object nearby. Good. That should zap the pilot but good and proper and keep the Beta Enforcer from going anywhere. Kal had a plan for how he was going to get into that disabled mech with an expert's precision.

Kal tapped into his psi-enabled Newtype blood and forced the meta-organic cells to rush towards his brain, forcing a set of alien memories and experiences to spring forth and temporarily crystallize within his psyche. Suddenly, he had the skills of a Rigjacker!

Kal Risso uses his Newtype skill to copy the Rigjacker's abilites for this full round, losing 1 hp!

Included with the skills of a Rigjacker was the ability to target rig pilots after a successful ambush. Kal looked down the sights of his DPM Rifle, waiting for just the right moment...

That's when it happened - the Gamma Enforcer guarding the Wreckmas Pressie Kal had been looking to loot earlier came to a halt and crouched in its parking mode. The mech's pilot disconnected from the control seat and strode out into the desert. When the pilot stretched his arms over his head and yawned while taking a leak, Kal Risso took his shot.

Kal Risso hopped down from his sniper's perch and strode over to the Beta Enforcer undergoing ongoing electrocution. He took his sweet time moseying over to the switch on the wall that powered the local electrical grid and disengaged the live circuitry with a flourish. The Beta Enforcer slumped into its parking mode in a heap.

Kal walked up to the large, inert mech and smartly rapped on a panel by the cockpit with a knuckle before punching it in a very specific spot. A recessed handle popped out from a small hatch, and Kal yanked on it. The Beta Enforcer's pressure-sealed cockpit burst open with a squeal, jettisoning its unconscious pilot unceremoniously to the cracked desert ground below. Kal hopped down from the controls of his new, pristine Beta Enforcer and put a bone spur through the ex-pilot's dome. Quick and painless - mostly.

Kal gathered his things and set off, making sure to scrap all the tools he'd used in his ambush for valuable parts.

Thanks to his Newtype ability, Kal Risso can mount the Beta Enforcer as a free action this round! He does so!

By the time Kal Risso had gotten the hang of piloting his shiny new Enforcer rig, the Newtype blood pumping though his veins and filling his brain with knowledge had returned to their normal, much less psychoactive state. Furthermore, his nose had stopped bleeding, which was nice!

"Let's take this baby for a joyride - see how fast this thing can run!"

On robotic legs of polymetallics, Kal Risso and the Beta Enforcer bounded across the desert towards the prizes he knew were waiting for him in the distance.

Kal Risso found the place just as he left it... except now he was the only living person here.

Kal Risso couldn't believe his luck today. All in one fell swoop he'd seemingly stolen a Beta Enforcer, scrapped a Gamma Enforcer, and received a rig-ripper for being on the Wreckmas nice list, all in one day! And Now? He'd gotten himself a Medikit delivered to him directly by drone, complete with all the derma-patches, wound-caulk, and experimental anti-xenobiotics he could ask for. How absolutely perfect!

He jacked his Comms tablet into his rig's radio deck and started blasting some of his favorite ancient Earth tunes from the Beta Enforcer's mounted bullhorn speakers. He pointed the Enforcer's pilot-cam directly at himself and went into his spiel:

"G'day, g'morning and g'druska, folks watching at home! Kal Risso here and present - I'd like to give a big Wrecking Crew shout-out to Pertinax Ammo Fabrication Systems: bullets that make holes in the competition! Thanks again and draos'karray to you all for your continued support - with your gift my fight continues! Yee-haw!"

Kal punched his rig into overdrive and honked at a retreating mutie-wolf. This was starting to get fun!
