I mean godamn just play E:D. Sure it's shallow and Frontier is stupid but poo poo the flight and combat is fun and the goons playing it are helpful and cool. I've never grinded for even a single second in that game and I've got a cool ship that can kick serious rear end and I've went out sightseeing to nebulas and black holes and other cool poo poo.
