I just set up a second account on a cheapo phone. You can catch lv25 weather boosted raid bosses as long as you hit level 5. My plan is to get 6x lv25 machamps for raid and gym assistance. It's so nice being the one to make or break a raid. I went to a gym, hopped into the lobby, two people IMMEDIATELY joined me like they'd just been waiting for a third person to come along. They were both lower level and didn't have very good choices (not like mine were super specialized either, but better picks overall) and neither of us could've done it alone, but we took it down as a team.  I didn't see them in person (the gym was adjacent to a couple buildings) but I hope they caught it.

Checked a city wide discord, it sounds like no EX passes have been distributed since two weeks ago (the ones for Christmas day). I wonder if they're getting rid of/replacing EX raids. Any other guesses?

Hunting for 100% IVs is my new addiction and it feels so good when I clean out Pokemon to know I don't have to worry about judging which one to keep of that one type once I get a 100% of it. Like everyone though I didn't know about IVs until later on so I need more 100% Eevees if I want a perfect Jolteon or Vaporeon. I'm so scared to evolve because getting a Flareon is going to make me fume.

Still a good find. My town was nuts when we learned a 100%, level 35 Slakoth spawned and the street it was on was crowded with cars. It was 4200 something CP when I evolved it into Slaking. I also finally got the joy of fighting with a Slaking. It did tiny damage when I tapped to do its fast attack Yawn but that was probably because there was partly cloudy weather that gave it a small boost. I guess weather tacks on a bonus instead of multiplying, otherwise it should have still been 0 damage. Because of that though, I can't tell if a non-weather boosted Yawn generates charged power or not since it's been perpetually partly cloudy where I live so I can't test it myself. Anyone know? I don't want to tap Yawn if it does absolutely nothing.

Yawn generates 15 charge per attack, so 3 uses of it will charge a Play Rough attack just fine

Did back to back Groudon raids this morning. Both higher CPs than anything I've caught prior. First one I landed. 91% Level 25. 2nd one is higher than the first one (all ???) and I land and excellent curveball. 3 shakes and.....booted back out to the map. No way back in, doesn't even show in my journal. I got my raid pass back anyhow, but makes me wonder if I lost my first perfect. I'll just keep telling myself it was a 93%. Heading out for two more...-10 ain't no thang.

I like their improvement on the extreme weather thing: now we can tap an "I am safe" button under a warning before we play and it continues to give us weather conditions with this warning over it. My place is under warning for sudden rain coming even though it's absolutely dry and clear but I can appreciate that this makes me look up conditions.

I traveled to Vegas, and was disappointed that the weather effects more or less made the spawns just like Seattle. So many Shellders. On the bright side, my go+ somehow caught me a Miltank.

Yeah I keep finding Shellder non-stop. I think it's the holiday spawn rates. Does anybody know what causes Tangela to spawn? I've never seen one, but in general I guess I just never see grass types aside from a million Seedots.  I have to specifically seek out Hoppips, but at least I see those sometimes. Oddish and Bellsprout lines are all unfilled in my Pokedex because I've never found enough to evolve them. Never found a Scyther either.

So many shellders, nowhere near enough Lapras spawns. I remain hopeful that someday Lapras will be buffed again since it and ice have both been made basically irrelevant for gyms and raids. :\ as far as your grass concerns tangela are super rare but I've seen everything else recently when the weather turns right.
