Gin/Vodka tonic is nice but nothing beats a Manhattan. I usually ask they leave the cherry out but what you gonna do sometimes.... Other favs: whiskey/ginger-ale, sidecar, tom collins All in all a Manhattan is best, especially made with rye.

What I feel like right now is rum, ginger beer, and and West coast type IPA, mixed together in a pint glass. I've seen this called an Eye of the Storm but google says that's a totally different drink so I don't know what to call it.

A gin and tonic is harder to screw up. If I know the bartender is good a Manhattan it is.

I don't do mixology much but White Cubans are great. It's like white Russian but with rum instead of vodka. So rum, Kahlua, and either Baileys or cream.

the best cocktail is Tschunk slice a lime in quarters, put in tall cocktail glass, squash them up add 2 teaspoons of brown sugar fill glass w/ crushed ice fill 1/8-1/4 of glass w/ the best brown rum you can find. its up to you how strong / rummy you want it. stir until sugar is dissolved in rum fill rest of glass w/ Club Maté (any carbonated maté should be fine) garnish with a slice of lime, enjoy! this will both get you drunk and keep you awake Das Butterbrot fucked around with this message at 12:02 on Dec 31, 2017 |

Delicious sidecars... Sugar 1 1⁄2 oz VS or VSOP Cognac 3⁄4 oz Cointreau 3⁄4 oz Fresh lemon juice Coat the rim of a cocktail glass with sugar and set aside. (Do this a few minutes ahead of time so the sugar can dry and adhere well to the glass.) Add the remaining ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a piece of orange peel.

Look in 100 years the world will have recognized how crazy awful sugar is and weaned most of society away from it. Until then you're the weirdo with broken taste buds.

The Recherche three dashes bitters one cup of coffee treacle to taste one 8 ounce can of yams ouzo tequila sweet vermouth dry vermouth Mash the yams thoroughly with a mallet and strain through a very wide mesh filter. Slowly add the bitters and coffee, alternating pours, then very slowly add the treacle, helping it along with more hot coffee. Once a distinctive odor begins to emerge quickly pour in one jigger each of ouzo, tequila, sweet vermouth and dry vermouth. Whisk very thoroughly. Do NOT use a blender at any point or the drink will be ruined.
