tired of hearing covers of old songs where they make them slower and more chill? oh well. you're all invited to a fun little group activity where we take songs we love (or hate, or don't really have any feelings about) and slow them down. and don't worry, its super easy and you don't need any software or talent. you could probably get your dog or cat or sheep to do it for you if you get stuck. step one: imagine in your heart of hearts a song that you think should go slow, or just one that you want to make go slow step two: find that song on the website youtube. if you have the song already on your computer you can skip this step. step three: make that song be on your computer. i googled youtube to mp3 and clicked on the first link but there's probably more and better ways to do this step four (the secret sauce): go to this cool online time stretch audio player: http://29a.ch/timestretch/ click open track and select the mp3. step five: play around with the speed, pitch, and tune knobs until you come up with your own flavor of secret sauce and share that cool stuff. we all brought ear chips for your slow dip, or at least i did. to get this party started i suggest trying the following: Brenton Wood - The Oogum Boogum Song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdoXBZnBHK4 0.56x speed, -2 semi pitch, and tune unchanged at 0. preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nyQOzDJR3Y edit: had a read through of the sa forum rules and the byob rules and i'm going to go ahead and  45 second samples of my favorite slows which should be acceptable given context.

I love this idea and will see if I can come up with something interesting. just wanted to point out for those who want to quickly preview slowed or speeded stuff without downloading: there is a "speed" control right on youtube that lets you select from a few options of slower or faster speeds. just click the gear button at the bottom right.
