It’s like folks who grew up with Cosby. Even though he wound up being a spectacularly lovely person in the end, his work from before the truth came to light was still profoundly influential on so many different people. They can’t just pretend he never did anything for them, as much as many of them probably wish they could now that he’s been convicted. But that obviously doesn’t excuse him in any way.

Little bit of WoW-related schadenfreude. The most recent expansion launched a couple weeks ago, and during that time, some players found a way to repeatedly "complete" and instantly reset quests that are only supposed to be able to be completed once per day. Due to the way the exploit worked (it required some very precise timing to successfully pull off), there was no way that someone doing it could accidentally stumble upon it. Using this, they effectively had a way to create infinite amounts of money, gear, etc. in a very short amount of time. And to the surprise of absolutely no one but the cheaters, they're now issuing permabans to everyone who did it.
