I run medic/iron will/fall damage until I get my fourth perk slot. I'm constantly falling so the damage reduction adds up to be a lot of health. If you combine the perk with the reduced fall damage scout armor mod you can fall from some pretty ridiculous heights before you go down.

I'm kind of interested in your reasoning here, because I've stuck with the More Shields upgrade instead with the logic that more "rechargeable" health is better than just another 10 HP. Unless, of course, I know i'm going into a shield disruption mission, in which case I'll temporarily switch to the health buff.

Then again, I do play Scout, so when my shield does break I can typically get away to recharge..

Mastery bonuses on your armor grant bonus health passively. You should be buying every upgrade on your armor ASAP for every dwarf for the +45 (I think) HP.

I use the bonus shields upgrade on my scout for the same reason, and built a shield disruption loadout for all my dwarves that uses +health.

The scout should be the designated survivor. Don't feel bad about ditching the rest of your team and legging it to safety/the drop pod if things go south.

Every single dwarf makes me want to play more of every other dwarf. It is consistently the most bafflingly perfect aspect of the game's design and has been since update 10 or whenever the game was gifted to me.

When I play with other classes I see how awesome their kit is and want to do that. DRG's strength is that every class fits a niche so well that swapping dwarves always feels like an upgrade, without feeling like you're downgrading anything when you switch.

But if I use fat boy I can't bounce my friends around with unwanted grenade jumps. I'm getting pretty good at them now!

My favorite was watching a friend of mine try to decide how to get on a high ledge for almost a full minute before just pegging him in the foot with a perfect shot that bounced him fifteen feet in the air onto the platform. I don't think he's ever figured out exactly what happened or why he started flying.

I made a suggestion in the official discord about an alt fire for flares that let you place them onto terrain. They would have a lower radius but would last indefinitely so you can mark spots like shortcuts, cave mouths or platforms.

If they added more features to the laser pointer like persistent waypoints or additional markers, that would fix the problem neatly.

You can put a persistent waypoint down with the laster pointer, you just left click and hold for a second.

You only get one and it only is visible for you, but it's something

Gunks are weird because they show up on a map and they're somehow still more annoying to find with your peepers because they blend in so well once theyre on the ground, especially because they love to roll into potholes and craters. Doesn't help that their "interaction sphere" seems very small so I often miss pickups.

Gunks are awful if you don't have a Scout. Without the flaregun you're like as not going to be yeeting flares randomly into the air and hoping you find something. With a scout it's almost as easy as mushroom picking.
