Despite that, I liked it. But then again I also like the Transformers movies.

See him flying around with Chewie, smuggling, having a run in bounty hunters, pissing off Jabba, scoffing at the Rebellion and the Force. Unless they take the cheap way out, add in a large time skip and suddenly both sides are back to full power again. Considering the last batch of movies I fully expect Disney to take the easiest least creative way out.

So glueing it back together was expected.

I didn't read the story and from what has been posted I don't feel any inclination to do so. It doesn't feel like it adds anything to the Starwars Galaxy/Darth Vader/Empire. But I do wonder, what would have happened if she was a guy with the exact same story? I think that the LGBT community would get up in arms about that.
