And the wages in Florida are pretty lovely compared to the rest of the country (though no where near as bad as the Midwest). Also you have to live in Florida; a literal bogland that is wiped out every 5 years or so by Mother Nature repeatedly reminding us that people shouldn't live there.

The house will look exactly like the dumpy bland middle class person's house I grew up in in the Midwest for a tenth the price but have like, stainless steel appliances and a marble "kitchen island" and a "great room" which is where there's no wall between the kitchen and living room so it smells like whatever you cooked yesterday all the time
