It's not even like the series against the Rangers in the past where the Rangers actually were playing disciplined. It's poo poo like the missed boarding call where Paquette pasted Orpik in Game 7, Tuch's elbow to Orlov's head, the Reaves cross-check. I accept that the refs are going to let obstruction go even if that's horseshit too, but these are blatant non-obstruction penalties that the refs are willingly not calling.

Is it weird that I think the Capitals will be fine even if Kuznetsov is out? Eller has been playing like a 2C and Backstrom is basically a 1C who was playing 2C because of Kuznetsov. I guess the third line might struggle a bit with Stephenson as center instead of Eller but even Stephenson has been pretty good this postseason. It sucks but whatever, Caps in 6.
