It could be air attacks from the chaos enemies of that map: sometimes happens to me too that the enemies bombards me every 3-5 seconds, no matter where I go.

The complete edition of this currently on sale in HumbleBundle for like 15 euros (or equivalent US bucks).

It comes with Martyr and Prophecy. Is prophecy some expansion pack?

I never got to play the original when it came out and didn't pay any attention to the series.

Prophecy is the xpac with a new class and some extra missions.
