I used to bite my nails and cuticles all the time, then I used to compulsively clip them down and whatnot, but now I only use my very full nails to pick at minor hangs but I'm getting better at managing it over time, and these last couple of months are the first time in at least 10 years that I've had real usable nails all at once, so I'm happy

Like, take a picture of your hand and then tell me a little story about it. For example:

Here is my left hand

You'll notice my ring finger is somewhat oddly shaped at the top. When I was in middle school track I was (extremely stupidly) playing catch with a shot-put while waiting for my turn to throw at a meet. I threw it up too high and reached back to grab it. All of a sudden I feel extreme pain and begin shooting viscera in all directions. Turns out there was a chain like fence behind me and my finger was directly above the the bar that held up the chainlink. In effect my finger was crushed between an eight pound metal ball and an aluminum rod. It was p rad. They had to do some pretty creative stitching to make it look like a finger again. Still freakin' works too. Thing is a trooper.
