I have had a lawyer since LAST YEAR. I have been to my lawyer 25 times. It is a bit concerning he has never asked for any money yet so I don't know how much this will cost me, at this point what does it even matter? We are supposed to go to this BS mediation today at 1:30 I will either have good news or way worse news after. At this point I just don't know what else I can do. I am supposed to have my kids after but we will see. Just her crazy rear end calling me last night ruined everything asking about stupid guns. Threatening my life. I don't drive by her house or threaten her! Jesus help me

Me and the kids have been shooting 3+ year old fireworks today (well I have they watch) because they were scared of them past 3 years and I had leftovers. Didn’t buy any new ones. I have one 3 year old Roman candle saving for tonight I can report back if dead or not later.

10 year old push mower just will not keep running. I’m not throwing it away, but I can’t wait a week or two to get it fixed I have to get my Yard mowed.

Thoughts on just getting a replacement? It is a 6.75 Briggs engine.

$250 for Troy Bilt with similar engine, $300 for Husqvarna or $400 for the Husq with the Honda engine? Or none of the above I’m kind of limited to Lowe’s in my town.

YEah it is the same, never had self-propelled before. I’ll try to read up tonight and get one this weekend unless it is really going to rain for the next few days or week like weather app says.

I'm all electric for my landscaping tools now and it's awesome, gas powered is lame.

My weedeaters are electric but I have over a half acre I am doubtful this could handle my needs? This one that is done for was like $250 and lasted almost 10 years, with little to no maintenance. Thoughts? I have a big yard

A half-acre lot is going to be more than one battery for most, if not all, of the current electric mowers. That necessitates either another $$$ battery purchase, or mowing half the lawn, waiting for the single battery to charge, then finishing the yard. Neither option is that great.

I want an electric mower, but I think they are 1 generation away from being truly ready for large-suburban-yard use.

I've said that they will be ready when you see DeWalt/Milwaukee/etc adding them to their ecosystem. And at that point, I'd be all-in.

Literally this, I am scared it won't be able to get through the whole yard in one go. I don't know about them. My battery powered weedeater can't make it (though it is much older). Just fear of the unknown.

Well guys on to MOWER CHAT: I dug up $100 worth of Lowes gift cards I've received the past year for birthday and Christmas, and pulled the trigger on a Troy-Bilt with a 160cc Honda engine. Plus using an online coupon and my gift cards it was $155 out the door. Will pick it up after work. Going to try to do it right and only use non-ethanol gas in this one ever (and actually change the oil every year).

It is a TB 130 XP so not sure if that is worse or ?. I needed something today and had gift cards to use. This is not self-propelled maybe the 200 series are? This one has very high ratings.

Then get a ride on mower? If you're still using a push mower to do that much going electric with an extra battery is still worth it and ten times better than any gas mower. Trust me I was skeptical at first, but until you use one don't knock it. For $280 plus another $100 for an extra battery is still WAY worth it. The mower has a spot to keep a spare battery as well so you can switch on the go. Read the reviews on Homedepot.com that thing is legit.

My electric plows through the thick poo poo my gas mower would bog down in. The motor senses higher loads and gives a burst of power it's loving awesome. Plus ONE LEVER to easily adjust height, it's light as poo poo, nice and quiet (quieter than a vacuum cleaner) , and folds up in 2.2 seconds easily. But don't listen to me, go ahead and deal with gas, oil, filters, carbs, noise, all that happy poo poo :)

Honestly I value your opinion, I really do, but I just do not want an electric mower. I may be stupid, PLUS I just cant really justify $200+ more than this one in my current financial situation. It has the Honda engine so when it hits high grass the VTEC will surely kick in and kick rear end RIGHT? ;)

That was more of a rebuttal to meatpimp really, but yeah get what you can afford dude. It might be cheaper just to get the one you already have fixed wouldn't it?

Possibly could have, but I'd have had to take it to a shop - who knows if it would be $50-100+? And that would take at least a week or two to get back and the yard needs cut NOW before it gets unmanageable (we had like a week of rain and then I've had some "things going on"). Getting someone to mow it once would be $50 and that seemed stupid (to me) to throw that money away if I could put it towards a new mower that will solve my problem TODAY.

I am still going to try to fix the old and possibly use it for a "brush beater" if I can get it running, just keep it at highest level and abuse it knocking back brush and taking down overgrowth.

Believe me I have mulled over all these options and don't know 100% if this is the right decision. I got 10 years out of the other one so that is like $25 a year for what I paid. REALLY WISH it could have kept going this season.

I got the new mower in the Elantra just before a monsoon hit. Had to cut it out of the box but it fit in the trunk by a centimeter. It is a big mower. Would have taken The wagon but battery is dead.

A car can get a salvage title from being on the same lot as cars that got flooded even if they didn't get a drop in them or maybe got some hail damage on the roof. It is not some automatic reason to write off a perfectly good car. It IS a reason to be super careful and research and you are definitely taking a risk.

I have a friend who got a 6 mile Prius that has a rebuilt flood title and best we can tell the back hatch got wet. Toyota even saw it as "clean" in the system and he got the 2 years of free maintenance covered by the dealer. But all that consisted of was 2 oil changes so...

If something had gone wrong who knows if they would have looked further or what

There are amazing deals to be had on salvage cars BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE WILLING TO RISK GETTING A HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE.

I think Teslas are AMAZING but I will not waver on calling BS on this remote brick ability, unwillingness to sell parts (just like Apple) and general BS about no one can fix a Tesla but Tesla.
