you can lock yourself out of your tesla if youre not in cellphone range and you only have the app to get in to the car yes it will let you get in and drive away without the key fob if you have the app tell it to

the heater takes more energy than the ac and the batteries dont store as much energy when theyre cold so you have to heat them as well its not too much loss but it is noticeable
