Thanks to that show, we learned that one could custom make a limo or yacht into the tackiest vehicle in existence. The only other place to showcase such gaudiness was anytime Liberace performed.

I met him once about 15 years ago when he was doing some guest host work for a TV shopping channel. He's exactly like you'd imagine. Just a normal guy with a ridiculous announcer voice that he never drops. Not demanding or arrogant, just normal.
