how many journalists need to get murdered before they're uncomfortable manufacturing propaganda for a foreign state?

Blaming the workers for the bad things a company does sure seems like a great way to go about things

Imagine only having one thing that you can make life changing money doing because it's probably the only thing you're good at and you've spent your entire life building your skills in it

Then imagine going against a direct order from your old vindictive boss who owns the biggest company in your field and then has unlimited resources at his disposal to make sure you never work in that field again outside of maybe a bingo hall he can't reach

It's easy to sit here and act like it's a simple decision when you aren't stuck in the situation and are just one of the independent contractors that had nothing to do with the poor business decision in the first place

Yeah many of the might be making good money right now but that doesn't mean that refusing to go wouldn't be a huge personal risk

a virtual monopoly doesn't prevent workers from improving their conditions. players (and officials) in the major sports leagues have got major benefits from striking and lockouts. if anything, they're even more effective because they aren't nearly as easily replaceable as a coal miner

WWE will literally never change their practices just out of the kindness of their hearts

Just because unionization would be a good thing that doesn't mean you should be blaming the wrestlers for not jeopardizing their livelihood by refusing to go to Saudi Arabia

If they don't unionize over this of all things, I'm struggling to think of a time when they actually would

You do realize that unionization isn't easy, right?

The best lesson from this is to not become a wrestler in the first place

And yet people living paycheck to paycheck on minimum wage have found a way to do it against people that literally shot them for it.

Yeah it wasn't easy for them either

then what's your point beyond the incredibly banal "doing things is hard" take?

My point is that blaming workers for the company doing bad things is really loving stupid because opposing that stuff requires organization/unions and setting that up in a hostile environment is difficult and risky.
