I was going to say "well the Horde has the advantage of sheer numbers" but I guess thinking about it you don't ever actually see that until the finale, which was still only a couple dozen guys

Meanwhile, there was an entire palace filled with royal guard who were all apparently sitting around doing nothing during the final battle.

I know the show is all about the princesses and their friends, but maybe don't show heavily armed troops standing around and then totally ignore they exist when the largest battle of their lives is literally happening on their doorstep.

Well, we never saw her doing that until after she had touched the sword and had her brain messed with vision.

Doctor Reynolds posted:

I feel like I missed something... why do they think Science Princess died? A door closed. Okay? So open it? What?

Because it was the last in a series of doors where the corridor before it was full of deadly traps.

Entrapta would open the doors just before the trap killed them, they'd go into the next section of deadly corridor, rinse and repeat until they got out.

Then, when they were finally out, Entrapta went back in and the door closed on her and everyone outside heard the trap go off.

So, they all assumed she was dead.

It'll come out in the final episode that Scorpia has been wearing gloves all this time.

I just loved Bow's two dads so much.

I was also expecting Serenia to be a planet, like Etheria and Eternia, and Hordak being pretty clearly from another world. Then it was the name of a heroine... but then it was a constellation again!

A constellation which can only be seen from one part of the planet.

Constellations do not work that way :argh:

Cockmaster posted:

I'm curious as to where Bow's parents get off thinking that the princesses started the war with the Horde.

I thought it was because they stopped fighting the Horde?

The Princesses all went their separate ways, but the people never stopped suffering.

Yeah, I can see a lot of people needing the Princesses, but not liking them one bit.

Shadow Weaver is the best character in both shows imo. She is never funny or the butt of the joke or a fuckup. Nor is she anybody’s love interest. I can’t think of any other women from 80s cartoons who were like that, and honestly few even now. She is 100% malicious and predatory and evil and have I mentioned that I love her

In the last episode she played the manipulative parent perfectly.

Probably the most brutal scene of the show so far was when Catra came back to the empty cell and realised she had been used.

Literally the only scene of that movie I remember is when they first arrive on earth and Man At Arms somehow finds a bucket of buffalo wings or something and shares them with everyone in the good guy team.

Everyone is enjoying the meal until someone asks him what they're actually eating and they all lose their minds when he tells them it's meat, because they're advanced space aliens and don't do that.

So, everyone spits out the food, but Man At Arms is still happily chomping away on his chunk of fried meat with the bucket tucked under his arm.

My only 'thesis' was that animators are hugely thirsty and love putting in poo poo like this in their work.

Like Bounce House Princess on Adventure Time.

For kids, it's just a cute moment with a new character, but also the type of thing you would come back to as an adult and have your mind blown.

Just finished the series and have a LOT of thoughts and I'm still catching up on the last ten pages.

But right now I'm just going to say that Bow's spacesuit had a little window for his abs. That is all.
