The fact that they made Allenby a secret for A and J was just baffling to me, especially J since you can't even save Master Asia!  And J is super easy, the only units you can't solo the game with are Sol Tekkaman 1 and 2 because they suck just that bad.I actually beat it again a few weeks ago which I hadn't done since the patch had come out, the reinforcements issue is frustrating but the biggest black mark on the game is SEED. I'm not saying that just because I don't like SEED, it's more that the game didn't do anything with the plot of it, they play it painfully straight and it drags the other shows down with it. J is still a good game though.

SEED not fitting is even weirder considering most of the other shows sort of mesh well. Like Layzner, Tekkaman Blade and Nadesico worked really well together, even with Voltes V since it also ties into "My family is my enemy". It's probably not true but it kind of feels like SEED got sort of shoved right in there because it was popular like when it appeared in Alpha 3.

Plus it's mostly Prince of Darkness now because Yūji Ueda can't scream anymore and Akito barely emotes in that. Listening to him try to scream in BX was just kind of sad.

Nobody is really sure but SOMETHING happened that pissed a bunch of the voice actors off. Cagalli's VA never returned to voice her again and Dearka's VA just vanished off the face of the earth after 2012. I also remember when Z first came out Kenichi Suzumura talked about how Z's version of Shinn was the real one in his mind and Fukuda tweeted some eye-rolling stuff about how "Adding lines and scenes to a completed work was appalling".

Honestly the worst SRW that I remember having no cross series stuff is K. All the plots are put on their own route splits and there isn’t any real character interaction between series. But SEED in Alpha 3 and J was horrendous yeah.

A huge thank you to everyone who worked on this and the previous games, it really makes me happy to see all your work pay off. It feels like SRW has gotten a shot in the arm since they've been getting english translations too, especially if they're pandering to international fans for things. The Love Love Tenkyoken not being there is some BULLSHIT though

I’m on stage 21 of X and he doesn’t seem to have a crush on her yet. He’s a smug little rear end in a top hat for sure though. And whoever said I like it because of Wataru is correct, the characters are all really charming and I’m going to watch the show. Also it’s WEIRD not getting Mazinger until you’re almost halfway through the game.

D has some incredibly rude stages like the battlefield one mentioned, there’s a pick your poison route split, 3 emperor zuuls to fight on one and macross 7 finale on the other. Said macross stage has the boss drain your morale with every hit and takes half damage from everything that’s not a song attack.
