I've seen a ton of posters ripping the 90s lately, and I know it's just reflexive anti-nostalgia, but they were actually pretty good. Reagan through Clinton was pretty much the bomb. Great economy, shitloads of durable pop culture, relatively little warfare, and pretty good weather. Consider: Jurassic Park Natalie Imbruglia's Torn The World Wide Web Star Trek: the Next Generation's good seasons Michael Jordan's peak I got no skin in this game — If I'm going to pick a hill to die on, it'll be the 80s, so understand I have no vested interest in defending the 90s. I'm not a child of the 90s, I'm a child of the 80s — for me the 90s was college and young adulthood...my 20s (literally: I turned 20 in 1990). I'm just saying they were pretty loving good.

Right-wing militia movements kind of hit an ugly peak in the early 90s, and violent crime was something like 40% higher in 1992 than it is today. The late 90s were pretty good though
