This is why we need editors. It's okay, IMO. Epilogue is all about Terry being a better Batman, not as bitter, lonely, or compromised as Bruce, because Bruce taught him to be better than he was.

They sort of did that - they retextured, relit, and rerendered 1 and 2 for the Blu-Rays and released them as a theatrical double feature in the leadup to 3.
