There's no goddamn way that was made with natural sapphire. It has to be a lab-grown block worth probably a few thousand. Most of that price-tag is just a stupid tax on people who see the word Sapphire and assume this must have been some rare gemstone. The largest blue sapphire ever found fits in the palm of you hand at it would have taken a stone at least that size to carve something like that watch case.

Mayo Pete is the final assimilation of gay politics into the white professional class hive mind, filing down all the edges and anything subversive or antiestablishment in favor of saying that corporate robots can marry the same gender, and that's all that needed to happen. Protestant heterosexuality without women. When the modern day movement really ramped up in the wake of AIDS, they were demanding an end to police brutality and universal healthcare. Now it's making sure gay millionaires can pass on their wealth to their partners, and making sure they all vote Democrat. All that needs to be said is that Pete's husband was that he cancelled an event at a gay bar at the last minute because there was a dancing poll on the background. Not a show, just the poll. But that was enough to detract from their nauseating "wholesome" image, so gently caress you members of the community I'm courting. New actors maybe, but all these celebrities are investing their money into things and are capitalists in their own right, and can in many ways dictate what portion of the studio's budget will belong to them alone, undercutting most of the other people in the production, since they own a resource (their likeness and name) that can't be easily cut or replaced. Steve Jobs did start his career as a technician, but by the end of his life he was a capitalist. It's the same thing. Athletes straight up are exploited, they destroy their bodies so the people above them can make absurd amounts of money. Beelzebufo has a new favorite as of 04:48 on Feb 11, 2020 |

I love this tactic of white anger in Twitter of listing every white person who is good at [topic] they can think of. "What about Fred Astaire huh?" Great to just have my lists of pale people by relative skill level, ready to defend the honor of the white race that I'm totally not thinking about until someone else brings it up. I don't even see color!

Mak0rz posted:Is... is that part about sunlight even true? Yes, at least some studies have shown that COVID-19 detectability rapidly decreases with exposure to UV, with high heat and moisture also helping. Basically, viruses are not meant to exist outside of hosts for long, their evolution doesn't prepare them for that, so the virions become non-viable at a steady rate in those environments, and these same features were seen in SARS. The only thing though is that surface transmission has not been the main reason vector for spreading the virus, it's being close to other people who are shedding it in droplets and as an aerosol. Being outside impedes, but it doesn't mean you should get close to people because UV effects are not instantaneous. The risk is still going to be people with no symptoms super spreading it around to all their volleyball friends. I do love the idea of shoving a UV light into someone and just watching their organs start to liquify, especially if it was a UVC light. OR you could get dialysis going and treat their blood with UV and destroy all the hemoglobin. Beelzebufo has a new favorite as of 17:00 on Apr 24, 2020 |

Griefor posted:Look, whether these strides are the biggest is hard to quantify and though I believe that it is impossible to prove. But you cannot deny that it is effective. Fred Hampton was not assassinated because his coalition would have petered out by itself, his coalition was feared by the rich elite enough for them to commit a pretty large scale conspiracy to get rid of it. The fact is that poor whites and poor minorites share a lot of interests and if they can align they can can attain a majority in a democratic process, which is why the rich elite practices a divide and conquer approach against it. I'm not talking about fighting against foreign invaders, governments, or systems, I'm talking about eroding a group of people holding hateful beliefs. You cannot punch a hateful belief out of someone. Fred Hampton reached out to poor working class white people who were racist as a default in american society, not suburban nazis like richard spencer. If the story of Hampton should teach you anything, it's that the western nation state (bigger than just america) is racist by design. It's not incidental to the US that it has a racial hierachy, it is absolutely required to maintain the wealth distribution and yes, create a desperate surplus army of labour. In a world where that system is dismantled, yes, whatever society follows should not vindictivly punish people for racist beliefs they held as a result of the system they inhabited. But that's different than fighting against it now, or it's agents, many of who a) know what they are doing and b) are defending their class interests at the expense of those below them and will therefor never stop until they are forced to. The young patriots where dirt-poor appalachians struggling to exist in Chicago. They could be reached. But that's because they shared class interests, there was commonality and solidarity there.
