https://www.ragnaroketernallove.com/ Ragnarok M Eternal Love (or simply just RO:M) is the latest iteration/sequel/attempt for the popular Korean MMO "Ragnarok Online". This time it's on a mobile platform with the encouraged option to play on PC with mobile emulators. If you've played iRO or any iteration of the original Ragnarok Online before, RO:M is without a doubt the most faithful and accurate upgrade you'll ever get to it. The good news is there are tons of quality of life features that make it both enjoyable as a mobile game and fix a lot of old RO's issues, such as: -Auto-move to quests or to any zone in the world. -Clear icons on maps for quests and NPCs, very little obtuse questing/guesswork -Condensed map of the original; less travel time with familiar map layouts -Built in auto-battle lets you literally become a bot. Choose to fight all monsters around you or a specific mob for loot you're hunting. -One singular server w/ 50 channels. Only see/interact with those on your channel with the option to change channels. -Lots of class changes/balancing to make it accessible for a predominantly automated battle system. -Resources- Good all around guide for beginners and builds: https://ragnamobileguide.com/ Item/Monster info and drop rates: https://www.roguard.net/ Complete list of cooking recipes: https://gamingph.com/2018/11/list-of-all-recipes-in-ragnarok-m-eternal-love/ Goon Discord for Ragnarok Mobile: https://discord.gg/8ExXwmS The game, for all intents, is a literal full fledged MMO with mobile elements thrown into it. You are only limited by your daily "Battle Time" which is 300 minutes refreshed daily (that can stack up to 900 minutes with unused rollover time). Battle time only runs the clock DURING combat, not being in zone with combat or being near combat (I played for nearly an entire day and only ended up using 270 minutes). The game also features a gacha system for headgear (cosmetic + stats), equipment, and cards (items you can slot into equipment for buffs). Real money can be used to buy either in game currency or "Big Cat Coins" which are used for various things, including the gacha pulls. All in all it's surprisingly fun and WAY more fleshed out with regards to quests and NPCs than the original Ragnarok ever was. Give it a try! So you can buy stat items through gacha?

Frog Act posted:So you can buy stat items through gacha? Yup. The hats are MOSTLY cosmetic, giving real basic stuff like 10% additional exp. The actual gear portion of the gacha looks strong, but I've been getting them for free so far from the daily missions which give you tickets in place of the pay currency. The actual PVM in this game seems extremely laid back, so I'm not sure if PVP is where that stuff is actually needed or not. Edit: The card gacha is the only one that strictly uses pay-only currency, while the other two have methods of getting free tickets toward pulls. The flip side here is that any monster can drop their respective card, but at something abysmal like a 0.01% rate. The Crusher fucked around with this message at 20:40 on Jan 11, 2019 |

I really hate that you only get 300 minutes of experience and loot each day. Okay, so 300 minutes is still a lot, 5 hours of gameplay each day, and you can essentially let the game grind for you during that time, but it still feels cheap and manipulative to me. In order to bypass that limit you are forced to spend real money. This game, like most mobile RPGs, greatly encourages whales.

As far as I can tell, the most egregious thing is that they can straight up buy currency, but the exchange rate is so awful that I actually don’t even mind since you’d have to spend an absurd amount of $$$ to really get ahead. I’m guessing if you just buy premium and the occasional valk box, you’re getting a really big chunk of the benefits spending money will get you.

Yeah I'm only level 40 but I don't see a huge pay to win wall yet at least. The combat limit seems so generous that it may as well not even exist outside of poopsocking to hell. I know I'm going to be busy someday and get a 300-min carryover to the next day which will put me into a healthy time bank. The only thing that I can see eating your time is when you eventually get pets you can send them on 60 min quests that also uses your combat minutes.

You can outright buy zeny in the cash shop. Let's not pull punches here. Or least you could in the region my old RO buds tried out. (1) Are there hit/cast animations and can you cancel them? (2) Are there wizards/etc with zoning abilities? (3) Can you mob stuff and kill it? I don't see how mobile can recreate the actual good parts of RO. Khorne posted:You can outright buy zeny in the cash shop. Let's not pull punches here. Or least you could in the region my old RO buds tried out. 1. As far as I can tell, getting hit while casting does not stop you, but casting in general is much faster anyway. 2. Wizards are (apparently) all about AoE still (heaven's drive, lord of vermillion, etc) but I'm literally 1 job away from there so I'll let you know. Mages have a much better version of fire wall called circle of fire. Same exact purpose, but it surrounds your character while knocking back mobs up to 16 times 3. According to the guide I'm checking out, wizards are a great starting class for their ability to mass kill with AoE and farm from it. I've not seen any aggro monsters yet but there are monsters that aggro if you fight their kind. There are also "rifts", challenges that basically just dump 20-30 monsters on you all at once so that would certainly cover that. I expected nothing from this before I tried it but it's pretty drat close and tbh the ease of gaining levels in this version has me more hooked than treating manual leveling in old RO like a chore. There's slots you use for "auto battle" where you can drag skills to use automatically to give you some control over how you fight while afk. (if I'm fighting water enemies, I put lighting bolt in my auto slot. If I'm fighting undead, soul strike. etc)

Back in the day I always wanted to try a dagger assassin, this game's the perfect change to. I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would, and some of the quests are surprisingly creative, like shrinking and killing the fleas off of a god cat.

Pray they do not add the real money (timed actual auctions, only using the cash shop currency) auction house that the SEA server has. The biggest whale in that server threw down $60k to get the first all-class mount on the server, and cards were getting auctioned for thousands of dollars. They'd be insane not to enable that option if people are willing to pay that kind of cash and they can navigate the legal minefield.

I haven't playing anything Ragnarok related for around a decade. In game as: SuperRad if there is a guild or groups or whatever. Playing a Blacksmith because I like the idea of killing things with a cart.

I was posting in the android thread about making a guild. Not sure what's involved but I'm nearing level 50. Do we have a goon one going? I ended up joining one called GoonSquad but I'm 95% sure it's not one of ours.

In as Moglet, NA Server Channel 1. Anyone got a guild going yet? This pubby guild is driving me nuts. I'm actually really liking the QoL changes in the mobile version. Love the auto grind and the stamina limit. The stam limit isn't a big deal - it basically means you can autogrind effectively for ~6 hours a day (you can get an extra 60 minutes by sitting by the music box for an hour). Once that's done, you can still do all your quests and the 10x exp monster resistance quest with no penalty. So basically, my order of operations is sit by music box for an hour > grind on mobs until stam is out > do my dailies > do guild quests > carry on with the story quests. I'm on the sniper track now, but they weren't kidding when they said sniper is expensive. I have poo poo gear and my farm is poo poo. Thinking about switching to a beastmaster build since it's less gear dependent.

Big fan of old school RO here, and building up an old school int/vit support priest. Feel free to add me, I could use some help leveling up since I'm still an acolyte (around level 26 right now). In game name is Leopold.
