Sure, things have been a little tough for the good ole boys in blue lately, what with public opinions being as they are. But surely nothing could go wrong with an esteemed event like this... right?  Good morning, everyone! It looks like you're all enjoying the coplimentary (heh, get it?) breakfast we've prepared for CopCon attendees. Before we let you all get started with yet another exciting day, we do have a few updates to today's schedule we need to share.  Sadly, we've had to cancel our afternoon seminar "Windows 98 and You: How To Excel At The Latest Technology" as the presenter was dealing with some rather disturbing allegations regarding their conduct as it pertains to the care and feeding of fish, before he caught a sudden case of terminal inability to do much of anything anymore. Kashuno, Rookie Cop, was lethally investigated as Cop-Aligned on Night 1!  And even though I know many of you were looking forward to our annual lunch-and-learn "Toking Part In Your Community, One Hit At A Time" we've been unable to get in touch with the organizer today. I'm sure she's just overslept, don't you worry! It's not like she's dealing with a nasty Internal Affairs investigation or anything.  Morning once again! It's hard to believe we've spent a week together today, but that's the magic of CopCon for you! I won't bore you with any lengthy preamble, you know the drill by now... schedule shifts!  It seems that one of our certified  While I can't argue with their enthusiasm...  Their choice of material to work with...  Does leave a bit to be desired. Prince of Space, Cop-Aligned Surveillance Cop, was forced to turn in their badge and gun on Night 6! As for today's icebreaker... an amusing anecdote! A man and his wife were for a drive down the highway when they saw the patrol car with its lights on behind them. When they pulled over, and the officer walked up to the window and said, "I’m giving you two tickets. One of them is because you were speeding and another because you didn’t have your seat-belt on." The man said, "I did have my seat-belt buckled. I just unbuckled it when you walked up to the window." The cop turned to the man’s wife and said, "I know he didn’t have his seat-belt on. CCKeane, Cop-Aligned Rookie Cop, was forced to turn in their badge and gun on Night 7! ~~~ Well. Um. I suppose it's just down to the two of us, then. How about another amusing joke? An officer performing a traffic stop noticed that the car smelled heavily of marijuana. He said to the driver "Your eyes look a bit red - have you been smoking weed?" The driver replied "Your eyes look a bit glazed - have you been eating donuts?" Wait, what do you mean my visa's being revoked for "crimes against common dignity?!" I was just a week from retirement...  Tobbs Gnawed, Cop-Aligned Lenient Cop, was deported in shame over his terrible jokes on Day 8! ~~~  CopCon has been cancelled forever! Toalpaz, Activist-Aligned "Forensic Cop" has ended the game with an Activist-Aligned victory! Setup Doc ~~~ One thing I do want to immediately touch upon: This setup had one extra little trick to thwart reliance on night actions/results in a game explicitly about cops being unreliable (details are in the mod doc but it's why George Kansas' rookie cop investigation succeeded on Asiina the same night she was killed), but in retrospect I think it was not all that well-implemented/a bit unfair and apologize to town players for its contribution to the game ending how it did. However, overall I really have to commend the final 4 for making this a very fun MYLO to read. Big kudos to Toalpaz for sticking it out to a scum victory after the team started off VERY much on the wrong foot - losing scum D1 is one of the single worst things that can happen to a scumteam.
