God watching that just makes me want to play it now. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this games Deepnest-analogue is going to be like. Speculation on what theme that area will have: Cordycep shrooms? Tarantula hawks? Ant nest/termite mound? Whatever it is I hope it's really unsettling and viscerally unpleasant to get through. It's gotta be soon now. I'd play the original game again but I don't want to burn out on the formula just in time for release (and I still have the Witcher expansions to do, before April).

It was more bittersweet than melancholy, but I literally sat with Quirrel and listened to the rain and music of the city of tears for like 15 minutes. I already love that the score will probably be 30+ tracks and focuses on strings as a theme to match Hornet. I'm a sucker for deep, broody cello too, hope Larkin does some magic with that. Just noticed too that those 2 songs are free to download on his Bandcamp.

It's weird I'm more internally hyped for this than I was for No Mans Sky back in the day, and yet I'm super not bothered in the slightest about the lack of info and a release date. It's the most chilled out hype I've ever experienced. But it's there. I'll break my never preorder rule for this game, if they make pre ordering a thing.

If I remember well, those are crafting materials being used to replenish crafted items, like the thrown spikes that appeared in some trailers.

I only paid £3 for HK on the pc to the point of paying £20 for it on my Switch still felt like an amazing deal. It is an amazing deal. I'll preorder Silksong definitely.

one thing I'm really hoping for in silksong would be if Hornet gets a dream boss battle vs our own Hollow Knight., but the fully powered up one. It would be really neat to be on the other side of that boss battle

Yeah, they’re small as a thimble, hyper agile, full of explosive dark magic, a master nailsmith, and have all sorts of weird attacks thanks to charms. A real fight with that little Nugget would be amazing.

part of me has always kind of assumed that any delay is 100% because of nintendo and 100% because they would want a switch version to be ready and launch at the same time as the pc copy worst case scenario is them bullying team cherry into doing a switch release first
