There's a place called Basement Burger Bar back in my hometown of Detroit that lets you choose from their signature options or build your own burger with like 10 different proteins, one of which is a falafel burger, and it's quite delicious and tasty. They have hummus and feta options, so you could emulate a larger falafel very easily or go nuts with some kind of smoked pineapple, bacon, and swiss cheese monstrosity if you want.

It's closer to chicken liver pate than it is to beef liver, by far. Even milder than chicken, imo. I like it with pickles and mustard, personally. I like onions a lot, but find it sort of overwhelms the braunschweiger, though I wouldn't say no to them. Eh...this is probably going to get some argument, but if you can imagine chicken pate combined with bologna? That's kind of the flavor you could expect. ...sorta. In that it's a softer lunchmeat flavored...liver pate..thing. It's hard to describe. It probably sounds offensive described that way but if you don't have a frame of reference it's hard to put a real finger on it. It's good.
