I think what we've seen has established that there are many ways the Apocalypse has happened, but it's always caused by Vanya. So 5's apocalypse wasn't necessarily the moon one.

I think my biggest problem motivation-wise was Cha-cha's insane, pointless refusal to let Hazel run away and all the time-wasting surrounding that plot.

I think you missed something dude

Cha-Cha was in love with Hazel

I don't think he repented. He was just tired of it.

Yeah. Plus it's a silly show. The trope of "hyper competent assassin duo who act like regular degular shlubs and complain about things like their hotel rooms" is old and common. The juxtaposing of "hardened killer" with "big donut fan" in a single person is like, the entire point.

Another example would be the Old Firm in Pratchett's Discworld.

My favourite part of the show was the female lead who had no agency in her entire story until she went kill-crazy and had to be stopped.

No, wait, maybe it was the random flashback to establish that she'd always been a sociopathic killer, so the family patriarch really was justified in taking away her power.

Hmm, I also liked the textbook fridging of the Detective, that was a fun and original twist.

And presenting the black woman as having used her powers to attain unearned status and popularity, then literally silencing her for the last couple of episodes, I thought that was worth mentioning.

Oh, and the pudgy white guy assassin getting a happy ending, while the black woman is unceremoniously killed in the apocalypse, I didn't see that coming!

Really, there were so many interesting choices made in the show!

Imagine this being the first thing you read when the forums come back up

I was just trying to highlight the absurd argument that sometimes comes up where someone says "show X isn't worth watching because show Y is better" as if one can't watch both :)
