I have a hard time imagining Trump and the Republican Party giving up power in any meaningful way, if it seems like they'll have to, then yea, they'll do something insane to prevent it, and some flavor of civil war is definitely on the list of possibilities. I doubt it will go that way but it's not really a crazy thought at all
