The Xbox 360 would truncate passwords, which was fun around the time of ps3 hack when everyone was getting told they should have strong unique passwords.

Not technically a secfuck, but I got an email from paypal thanking me for confirming my info on an account I don't really use. It wasn't trying to get me to login so I wasted some time checking the account myself then calling up to verify. Apparently legit, just paypal randomly updating my account info then thanking me for it, which seems like a stupid thing to do (along with the random "here's your monthly statement" emails which look shady as gently caress but are supposedly legit.)

That 360 password length problem has existed since before the Xbox One at the very least, and the 360 doesn't support any 2fa so you have to use an app password now. The PS4 also only supports sms 2fa, so console gaming is fun all around I guess.
