Was it ever explained how experimenting on kids makes a time machine? I don’t quite understand why Noah and Helge were doing that and where they got the idea.

Also if the point of the chair is to build a time machine to send Helge back to 1953, why can't he use whatever method Noah is using? Noah's popping back and forth all the time. He could easily escort Helge back without the terrifying chair that bursts your eardrums and burns your eyes.

I just finished the series and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. It’s so wonderfully dense and well executed.

Enjoyed the series anyways, it's one of the best time travel series out and definitely knocked Lost down a peg lol It was a bootstrap paradox like the other suitcase time machine. It always existed, they just keep passing it back and forth through time and worlds.
