I admire any series whose protagonists can go "I know! Let's enshrine a statue and worship it as a god to non-violently resolve a complex web of relationships between a bunch of doofuses!" and then do it and it works.

Well it was a pretty nice cover anyway, everyone enjoying their Ancestue Burger:  ...though yeah, a S2 announcement would've been great.  Also, looking at the new chapter again, part of the fun of this series is spotting things that you missed the first time, like Shamiko peeking through her fingers at Momo's makeover, the obligatory tummy touching in the panel where Ogura pops her head in, and Lilith carefully descending from the oil drum where she makes her grand announcement.
